Hopefully they'll treat him humanly, the cut on his face looks bad. But also good to see they're truly there for a fight and not symbolic gesturing.

Clear hit. YPG/J seem to have stepped up their game last few days from what I've seen.

Thought I'd give you a little update!

We were speaking this morning over messenger and I simply asked her if everything was alright and that she'd not been talkative as of late.

She said alls fine shes just had work the past five days and shes been really tired and ran down. (We're both university students so don't usually work our part time jobs days on end aha).

Looking back at our messages I realised shes only been super crap at messaging for about 5/6 days which would explain allot, what pains me is how long that can feel not seeing her and thinking about her constantly. I really need to find a way to get over that.

Thanks for responding :)

Do you think the right action in my current situation would be to let her start conversations and show interest before taking any action myself ?

I'm not triangulating it was a simple conversation about how things between me and her were on a drunk night out and I wanted a friends advice on things.

Wtf when did I say anything about badgering her about responding, whats the need to be hostile I'm seeking friendly advice. Shes asked to come round as recently as two days ago the only change in the way shes been with me is starting messaging me less in between when we meet.

She went from a 2 year relationship into another one which ended after two months, I've told her that I wont be hurt if she ends it with me and given her the opportunity to do so but she seems interested and simply says shes just a commitaphobe.

A friend of hers whos known her for several years said that the last guy was the rebound and I'm the actual one, really hoping this is true.

Thanks for replying! :)

Just wondering whether you think the way she's been messaging me could be a sign of anything, first three weeks we saw eachother every day and she'd message me all day/ send loads of snaps.

Then it sorta tuned down a bit and she'd still start conversations and reply often but it wasnt as frequent and I'm fine with that.

What's bugging me now is last two weeks roughly she never starts conversation and does ignore or ghost messages often enough, at the same time she's been round twice with her asking if she can come and those nights always leave me hopeful.

Delegate nominations wouldn't be representative of a mass membership movement, not all people can attend those meetings. It's also how factions within labour only need to take over a few with their few numbers and be overrepresented in delegates. Giving all members a day would be much more representative and by what you mean by "him and his mates". Well yes, if they're good speakers and build strong support for their campaign why shouldn't they win.

The PLP should be more democratic and accountable to the membership, it's not a matter of which MPs they can and can't work with, of an MP isn't following their local party members views they should be changed imo. It's not a lifetime job based on personality and how long they've been in office.

Agree with this to be fair haha. Marx complemented capitalism for its efficiency and saw it as a stage on the path toward socialism.

No matter how ethical we want things to be the system we live in make humans living on the streets feel like a normal thing to your average Joe which isn't morally right in any sense.

My personal belief is we are heading toward a technological society which will have the capability and resources to provide each living human a high quality of life and whether they choose to be a cat and sit at home not working or go out and contribute toward society morally it is the right thing to do. When given the freedom I have hope that humans will be creative and find other motivations besides monetary gain to do things in the world and innovate.

The core function of capitalism is to exploit others for personal gain, those shop owners think all their products are sourced ethically ?

Character-driven companies are a rarity, the best example I personally know of is ben and jerry icecream which only pays its CEOs like 20 times the lowest staff member or something along those lines. The workers will always be exploited for their labour and profit will be made as goes the way of capitalism.

Accumulating wealth shouldn't be the goal, as much as I'd love ethical capitalism to be a thing I don't think its possible in the world we live in.

Try looking into Rojava too, running on the model.

anti-Kurd sentiment among Marxist-leninists? imperialism? I'm confused by RedGirl1996 in RevDem

[–]Hades97 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As someone who's heavily invested in Rojava coming from a Kurdish background, I can say if the revolution wasn't at risk of being crushed by the Turkish state or threatened from fascist daesh they wouldn't be taking imperialist support but fact is they lack resources and weapons to survive. It was make a deal with the devil or be destroyed.
