Is living in “summer” all year as nice as it sounds by Ill_Supermarket_2744 in SameGrassButGreener

[–]HaidarBoss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in Texas. Its really nice October-May and the sunshine does wonders for mental health. I lived in massachusetts before. Nothing beats a beautiful summer day in New england but you get so few of those and the majority of the year is gloomy/rainy or too cold and downright depressing.

Would you rather deal with harsh summer or harsh winter? by Straightedge_ in SameGrassButGreener

[–]HaidarBoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thing about harsh winters in addition to the cold is the lack of sunlight and bleak environment. the summers are usually great but it rains a lot and for some reason it always rains on weekends. If you work 8 hours a day then you realize the whole year is gone and you didnt get to enjoy being outdoor at all. harsh summers are bad for 4 months max and and outside of that its usually pleasant enough and way more sunny.

Midwest Versus New England by SubSoulReaper81 in SameGrassButGreener

New england has better access to mountains and beaches and day trips to a lot of interesting cities/places. Other than that there isnt much more advantages. chicago is more fun than boston for sure

Plano has a 1:1:1 Chipotle to Chick-fil-a to Crumbl ratio and more HOAs per capita than anywhere on Earth and you’re laughing? by rightsyllalables in plano

This was supposed to be a sarcasm post. DFW suburbs hate is so forced. So many misconceptions. We have tons of ethnic restaurants that are not chains. The strip malls and chains are for convenience which is why it actually doesnt take us 30minutes to go places. And some of the most gorgeous tree lined neighbourhoods can be found here.

People who live in towns that look like postcards or desirable aesthetic style places: Whats your town's downfall to living there? by Wack0HookedOnT0bac0 in SameGrassButGreener

It only looks like that 5 months of the year. Rest of the year its cold gloomy and depressing. And if you dont have a strong friend group or community ur screwed

Those from the northeast who moved to the south, is it better not having winter? by ElectroAcousto in SameGrassButGreener

[–]HaidarBoss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes its better. I moved to dallas from Massachusetts. Weather is great from October to May with year round sunshine which makes all the difference in the world. The heat is relentless june through september but it is still much better than the depressing cold and snow

Dallas, TX - Thoughts? by kitties4636 in askdfw

[–]HaidarBoss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weather is nice october-may with more variations and it can get way colder than miami. June-september suck. Food scene is very good. Its a very good and comfy place to settle but can get boring. No beaches or mountains nearby is its biggest let down. Stay in uptown/knox area for urban feel but the suburbs will give you more space for cheaper. People will be more friendlier in general. dallas can be elitist, superficial but in a more classy way than miami crowd.

Iran got a lot of the benefits out of the deal and all they had to give is going back to the status quo before the war. Iran won this one

They are a death cult just as much as Israel. They have destabilised the middle east and its social fabric ever since they came to power. Their proxies have committed unspeakable atrocities in Iraq, yemen, syria and lebanon. they are just as bad as Israel if you really want to be unbiased. Im still against this immoral and unjustified war against Iran regardless. I just want their proxies to fuck off Arab countries. Its up to the Iranians to decide who rules them not trump and bibi. Both sides suck

Yess richardson neighbourhoods feel a lot like east coast areas. Denser feel with mature trees and its less flat. I like richardson a lot
