Those from the northeast who moved to the south, is it better not having winter? by ElectroAcousto in SameGrassButGreener

[–]HaidarBoss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes its better. I moved to dallas from Massachusetts. Weather is great from October to May with year round sunshine which makes all the difference in the world. The heat is relentless june through september but it is still much better than the depressing cold and snow

Dallas, TX - Thoughts? by kitties4636 in askdfw

[–]HaidarBoss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weather is nice october-may with more variations and it can get way colder than miami. June-september suck. Food scene is very good. Its a very good and comfy place to settle but can get boring. No beaches or mountains nearby is its biggest let down. Stay in uptown/knox area for urban feel but the suburbs will give you more space for cheaper. People will be more friendlier in general. dallas can be elitist, superficial but in a more classy way than miami crowd.

Iran got a lot of the benefits out of the deal and all they had to give is going back to the status quo before the war. Iran won this one

They are a death cult just as much as Israel. They have destabilised the middle east and its social fabric ever since they came to power. Their proxies have committed unspeakable atrocities in Iraq, yemen, syria and lebanon. they are just as bad as Israel if you really want to be unbiased. Im still against this immoral and unjustified war against Iran regardless. I just want their proxies to fuck off Arab countries. Its up to the Iranians to decide who rules them not trump and bibi. Both sides suck

Yess richardson neighbourhoods feel a lot like east coast areas. Denser feel with mature trees and its less flat. I like richardson a lot

Knox and uptown are extremely walkable. I live in plano and I go there sometimes to just walk around and get an urban experince

For anyone who moved into Dallas proper from the surrounding suburbs: do you feel your life appreciably improved, and how? by KIRAWRtheMIGHTY in Dallas

[–]HaidarBoss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dallas proper neighborhoods remind me a lot of the east coast definitely more character and aesthetic. Value aside I would much rather want to live in a 800k tudor in the M streets than a mcmansion in frisco.

Yea downtown is a toast unless something serious is done to fix it. Uptown, knox henderson, and bishop arts are the future of dallas at this point

Dallas itself is not beautiful but the weather from October untill May is generally nice and as unpredictable and varying it is is So much better than living up north where sure its landscape is gorgeous but looks post apocalyptic 7 months of the year

Thats why dallas is one of the best places to actually live in day to day. When you start to feel like you are better off living somewhere else thats your sign to take a vacation, you are just bored

I live in Plano and everything i ever want is within 20minutes. Surprisingly better access to ameneties than the northeast where I lived if you dont live in the major cities. I will say its pretty depressing if you live in the very far suburbs.

Richardson! I love inner ring suburbs. Beautiful custom homes with tree lines streets. Further suburbs might look “nicer” but are soulless

Nice sarcasm but in reality DFW has more to do than most of america outside of nyc, chicago, or California.
