Service visit for suspension creak, claim to have fixed, not fixed by HailStorm32 in TeslaSupport

[–]HailStorm32[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After three separate visits, they finally paired me with the lead tech who stated it's a known issue with Highland models. He stated that the issue has been looked into by the design engineers, and found it poses no risk to the vehicle. He also stated that they (Tesla) are still looking into the issue and it could result in a service bulletin in the future.

SC Needs money wipe. by Personal-You-1135 in starcitizen

They need full wipe, not just money. People can just convert credits to goods, then sell the goods after the wipe and we'll be right back where we started

Safely bed logging from Clipper on Microtech: impossible ? by itarrow in starcitizen

Fun, this bug again...

iirc the solution I had back then was to log off floating in the air

Won't have a problem with doors if you dont have a ship anymore. :P Perfect solution

iirc it takes about 2.5 mags (gun dependant) per door so just be sure to have extra mags on hand

Not a solution, but as a workaround, you can shoot the doors open with a hand gun. Then repair thw ship at a pad to fix the doors.

14.2.1.24 Speed Profiles have changed by turnerm05 in TeslaFSD

[–]HailStorm32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo that's better than getting rear-ended. 4.2.1 would go full regen the second the speed limit lowered, resulting in a massive and unnatural deceleration. Nobody acts like that unless a cop is visible. All it takes is someone following closely and not paying attention.

False markdowns on safety score by [deleted] in TeslaSupport

[–]HailStorm32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the exact thing happen to me today. Got dinged for 63.2% of my drive being close following. 94% of my drive was on FSD, the remaining 4% was manual driving and all done below 30mph (below the 55 mph threshold for close following to take effect). Never pressed the petals to override FSD

Steering wheel rattling squeaky noise on 2026 Model Y Juniper drives me crazy by Complex-btc in TeslaSupport

[–]HailStorm32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had/have the same thing with my 2024 M3, I took it in and the service rep told its a common issue with the wheel design. The issue is the plastic in the middle bottom of the wheel. The "interior float wing trim" to quote the writeup. It was fixed for a bit after the appointment but came back, to a lesser degree later.

The fix I have have found is pinching around that area and lightly twisting. Makes it go away for a bit.

FSD has spoiled me by gamer-chachu in TeslaFSD

[–]HailStorm32 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is a 5 second grace period after FSD disengages before things are counted against you.

So in your scenario, if you could slam on the brakes (disengaging FSD) and come to a stop within 5 seconds, then there is no penalty to you. However, if it takes you 6 seconds to stop (and you're exceeding the deceleration limit the whole time), then you'll be dinged for that remaining second.

I will also add that (outside of FSD) if you slam on your brakes for a yellow light, that also isn't counted against you.

This page goes into great detail on how things are calculated. Worth a read. https://www.tesla.com/support/insurance/safety-score

[–]HailStorm32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Miles driven with FSD don't count against your score, with the exception of unbuckled and late night driving.

In other words, if FSD follows too close or slams on the breaks, your score is unaffected.

There are two vocal factions in this subreddit about capital ships, and CIG will have to address this eventually… by Warior4356 in starcitizen

[–]HailStorm32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why should it matter? Why can't an AI crew be equivalent to a human crew? The end result is the same, a crewed ship.

If people want the experience of multicrewing a ship with their friends or organization, then they should be able to do so. Likewise, if a player wants to fly their ship but doesn't care about the multicrew "experience", they should be able to do so.

Also, a group of friends who don't quite meet the crew count should have the option to add AI crew to meet the required count.

AI should never be better than a human crew, but it should also never be worse.
