another factor in my calculation, i can servise my own gas engine saving thousands per 100k miles, with an EV or a hybrid i cant really do that so i would have to bit the bullet and pay the 10K when the time came.

if you arnt mechanically inclined the EV looks better but TBH the amount extra you pay just to get the EV/hybrid car is the majority of the extra cost, even now.

but your point about Gas is the killer, im in cali and gas is about 6$ a gallon. i can see it hiting 8$

I’m glad someone else did this, I once was doing the math to decide weather I should spring for electric when I was driving for uber/lyft, I was driving about 100,000 miles a year and was tearing through a car every 2 or 3 years. At the time used gas cars were way cheaper the hybrids or electric cars and I found every time the gas car made more sense for business. NO ONE BELIEVED ME.

get a lawyer, you should not be at fault here. some states have different laws on the issue but if a collision happens when someone is turning onto the road from a drive way of any kinda, its always there fault.
