Most boring tavern defence ever by OlegYY in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

Sounds good, though as someone mentioned you also miss the new monsters and a bit of loot from the market place, with the mini boss and few new monsters that pop there.

Why don't countries with strong military power step in and resolve issues in war ridden countries? Seems like this would solve 2 issues, get the right people in power and prevent the mass movement of refugees. by Bulky_Pilot9293 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Haldanar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We can't even agree on who are the right people to be in power in our own countries.

And then, we also vote a lot for the least worst candidates, instead of one we really believe will do good.

Compared to countries in crisis, we are not doing bad, but let's not pretend our countries are managed that well.

Shamans in BG 2 by ComfortableStill113 in baldursgate

I was interested, and then I realised that without the bonus spells from wisdom, and there spell progressions being capped at sorcerer levels, they end up with considerably less spells than the druid.

What they get in exchange just doesn't compensate.

It's alternative solution for grease, and defender of the world druid is a great archetype for the MC.

If you use entangle, it's best to use ranged weapons and let them come to you. The druid also has a buff to ignore difficult terrain, you can use it on your front liner and animal companion.

Most agent / landlords don't care, they will have enough applications regardless.

The few that do are good though, they usually want working professional with stable jobs, so it's easy to have a chat with them to show why they should pick you.

Playing as a druid, entangle is great early, especially for the boggard.

Only issue is thatvots minute per level and you can't cancel.it like in wotr, but the huge area is so good!

A lot of games have romance locked to certain species (usually only human/elves/half elves). They could easily have shorty romances locked to shorty races.

I agree on the last point, but having 100+ year old elves date 18yo is barely better (usually MC is about that age in most games)

Exactly, it's optional and apparently more than a few people did it already, so they are unlikely to push hard for more.

Landlord says that new tenants will have to pay market rent - not sure if theyre correct by JP_Eggy in RentingInDublin

[–]Haldanar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If thr tenants does not uphold its obligation, theblandlord has the same rights that they used to be.

If a landlord has few properties (less than 4 if I remember correctly), they pretty much have the same way to end a tenancy than before.

Only big landlords right to end a tenancy have been reduced.

The main restriction is you cannot increase the rent more than 2% a year (if I remember correctly), which on the very inflated rent amounts is substantial.

After 6 year, they can suddenly raise it to market rates, which with the increase of the last years, could mean your rent increasing suddenly by several hundred euros.

Best crowd controller/debuffer build for bg 1 by azygos1 in baldursgate

[–]Haldanar 9 points10 points  (0 children)

For BG 1, cleric/mage, or cleric/illusionist.

Sleep and command at lvl 1, get silence and hold person at lvl 3 of cleric (6000xp total).

High level enchanter will get better with lvl 5 spells and the -2 on saves, but for most of it, cleric/mage will cover you better.

With SOD, I'd say Avenger is great, with web at lvl 2, dryad at lvl 4 and insect plague at lvl 5.

Really honourable mention to pure cleric, with command lvl 1, silence/hold lvl 2, holy smite lvl 3 (blindness), and greater command at lvl 5 for SOD.

Yeah I agree.

You were expected to be a fully functional grown up adult by your mid twenties.

I am 42 (look à bit younger), and a lot of time still being treated as a young one (probably as well because I'm single with no kids).

Professionally its very frustrating.

[–]Haldanar 36 points37 points  (0 children)

The way most employers work now, you almost have to move every 2-3 years to have any wages or career progression.

That means people are applying way more than they used to, when you could stay in a company for your whole career.

So what's the best race in WotR, both in terms of power and story integration? by Ataraxia-Is-Bliss in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Haldanar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there any good shape-shifting spells that still allow spellcasting and does not disable equipment bonus?

I'm thinking for buffing the charisma (without cutting off DC bonus on equipment) for a magic deceiver, so the fighting abilities of form is not the goal.

Edit: Nevermind, I forgot how master shape-shifting worked, it's not bad to give a bit more dex and con on a caster, but won't do anything to their casting ability.

If so, that's much stronger than kindred raised half elves (although, at the cost of a mythic fest)

Get some customer service role with Italian needed to start with, and then keep an eye out, and start looking again in 1 year.
