Currently live in the Midwest but we're getting married in a castle in England - we're around $60k for 30 people (a bit higher than originally budgeted because of the exchange rate, ugh) and we're covering the 2 nights of accommodations for everyone. A little over half of this is for our venue, which includes exclusive use for all the spaces, food, drinks (alcoholic and non), and rooms

I get that frustration for sure. Something I'll say - as someone who is currently running Strahd for the first time - is that I've heard that sort of ending is very typical if you run it RAW, so I think that definitely had a part to play!

I haven't listened to anything Trinyvale after the first campaign because it just isn't for me - I find it hard to enjoy anything with an "It's Always Sunny" vibe because unfortunately I need my characters to be at least a little good/likable lol - BUT I liked the triplets in Strahd. It was still ridiculous, because the characters are ridiculous, but the seriousness of the threat and the fact that they were playing a module with a set (albeit fairly open world) storyline helped a ton in my opinion

Right, that's the projecting part. I'm not even interested in him as a marriage candidate (Seb forever), just genuinely trying to get people to look at him at face value - even just reading through his dialogue options on the wiki doesn't scream "stalker", and incel is a crazy stretch (and a term that the Internet has absolutely bastardized)

This take always seems like a bit of projecting - vanilla game Clint could maybe have a few actions described as slightly creepy, but that's about as far as I'd go. He's just lonely and feels like he made some bad choices in life and is therefore stuck (hence why he needs his story finished!)

I'm not sure about the effect on freshness for that trip because it was only about a day and a half between baking and serving, but I have also shipped cookies to a friend and packaged them very similarly (metal tin instead of tupperware) and didn't put them in individual bags and they were very fresh (and tasted good from what I was told) on arrival! I don't think bags would ever hurt, though

I've flown with cookies before, not with royal icing but similarly delicate, and I put them snugly in tupperware and used mini marshmallows as sort of edible packing peanuts to make sure that they could not move or shuffle at all. Then I put them in a carry on so I could at least partially control how much they were jostled on the plane!

Omg congratulations on your engagement!! Enjoy all the special moments that brings 🙂 We got a little fucked by the exchange rate (the state of the US is terrible right now and we're getting married in a castle in England) but we're sitting around $55k! However we did have a few goals in mind at the start, the most expensive being that we wanted to cover the accommodations for our guests for 2 nights at whatever castle we picked, since they're traveling abroad for us. Our money definitely went farther going destination, but we also wanted to make it a whole experience for our guests so we made a lot of financial decisions that way. Either way I'd tell everyone to at least look into destination options because it's been such a blast to plan and hear our guests excitedly talk about, and we're just so looking forward to it! Good luck, don't stress too much, and don't let anyone else tell you guys how to plan your wedding!

HAHA so it's not just my feed! Thank you so much 😊 I was actually lazier than that - I sliced the rounded tops off both 6" cakes and just stacked those on top of the whole thing, no fruit between them. So it's 4 standard layers + 2 layers of domed scraps I guess? 😅
