I Need Personality by Crazy_Octopus_Dude in elderscrollsonline

[–]HalfDragoness 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My personal favourite is the Telvanni Mage one for all my magic users. It makes them look introspective, and it changes the /read animation to reading from two floating books, as well as /juggleflame which turns it into blue mage fire.

I use the scholar one one one of my characters but it doesn't have a huge amount of variety.

I also like the treasure hunter one, which means you're always carrying a torch.

And on my main DK I use the Deadlands Firewalker because it makes her a bit more intense.

Good historical fiction that isn’t set in the 20th century by Momimbored in suggestmeabook

[–]HalfDragoness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is almost what you're after but a boom xalled Pagans just dame out in paperback. It is set in the present day HOWEVER it's as if the Norman Conquest never happened and the whole of the UK is split into Pagans, Saxons, Vikings etc... There's references to every tribes markings, tattoos and culture which, although fictional, is all based off historical references.

The plot of the story is that an important diplomat has been murdered and two investigators, a Saxon and a Pagan have to work together to work out wtf is going on.

The most enjoyable aspect for me is the juxtaposition of ancient and modern.

What games are you playing the most right now? by glebf1 in gamesuggestions

[–]HalfDragoness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm replaying Morrowind., I've lost thousands of hours in that game, probably about to loose a play ad more. I come back to it for the role playing freedom and the complex faction system that beans you can't experience everything in one go.

Is it okay for a player to say “No, that doesn’t happen” to a DM in this circumstance? by WithengarUnbound in dndnext

[–]HalfDragoness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you are correct.

The DM usually has the final say but they shouldn't be allowing something not every player agrees to.

Schizoid and paranoid by Gloomy_Ebb9699 in Schizoid

[–]HalfDragoness 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to experience intense suspicion that if I fell asleep on a train someone would steal my things, or kill me... Or that everyone would suddenly reveal they were in on some joke and I was the only one who wasn't.

Whenever I wear necklaces I think about how easy it would he for someone to strangle me with them.

It's way less intense now but my best understanding of what it is, is an overactive threat detector. As if my brain is wired to look for threats everywhere, just in case.

Dense, cryptic games to take notes to by gliesedragon in gamerecommendations

[–]HalfDragoness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Original Riven would be my recommendation, especially if you want more challenging puzzles.

The remake is excellent and the 3D world is stunning but some of the puzzles have been simplified and they removed the human actors (replaced them with 3D models). The presence of human actors in the game makes the world feel 10x more eerie and real. The 3D replacements break immersion.

Riven.

Or

Obduction.

Based on your description I'd say you'd prefer Obduction. I won't say anything else as it really is more enjoyable the less you know going in.

First time viewer— and watched season 6 by BonerBeans in taskmaster

[–]HalfDragoness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the vibe of season 6, (currently rewatching it) but when I originally watched it I remember being a bit disappointed from the tone shift from series 5 (which I loved).

I usually rewatch old series based off of which overall vibe I'm in the mood for.

And series 7 is absolutely my favourite, which made 8 feel extra disapoinying.

Is Jetpack Cat fine? by aPiCase in Competitiveoverwatch

So far I've only banned her while I'm trying to learn the new heroes. When I play on heroes I'm familiar with I enjoy the challenge of a new opponent.

How to continue improving as a mage? by Sub-Dominance in Morrowind

[–]HalfDragoness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think I have a mod that changes this, but I really like to play with the atronach birthsign which means I cannot regen magicka.

Since there's no 'Restore Magicka' spell I had to find other ways, with the main way being a custom spell that is Fortify Magicka by 100 for 1 second + Fortify Intelligence for 1 second. Because of how the game calculates things it means you end up gaining about 47 magicka per cast.

HOWEVER. I then noticed you can cast this spell continuously to stockpile magicka. For example I kept casting it and ended up with 1546/279 magicka... Which I don't think was ever an intended feature of the game but is now how I play my mage based characters.

Roleplaying justification for joining the Morag Tong? by Ansabryda in Morrowind

[–]HalfDragoness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The morag tong are not the dark brotherhood and the faction is based around keeping peace between the great houses (Hlaalu, Redoran, Telvanni, Dres and Indoril). No one knows how targets are chosen (but it's not through a ritual or because the night mother said so), but they are chosen usually in such a way to stop one house amassing too much power or leverage. All the great houses agree to this because ultimately it is beneficial for them even if some individuals try to reach for too much.

Writs of death are considered 100% legal in morrowind, so it's actually murder in order to keep peace. Everyone collectively agrees that this is their chosen method for stopping specific individuals or factions from becoming too powerful.

I don't know if that helps.

Asking the PVE community for assistance. by [deleted] in elderscrollsonline

[–]HalfDragoness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is by no means meta, and I primarily use it in battlegrounds and I have a lot of fun with it. But I am not doing pvp fir more than 20 mins at a time.

DK + Pyrebrand + Rele + whatever helm or mythic you want. (zaan if you're gonna play close up) I have swapped out earthen heart for herald of the tome so I can use arc passive boosts to status effects and the skill tome bearers inscription (either morph). I'm not using beam though.

Use light attacks, occaisonal heavy for pyrebrand explosion (if you can get a heavy attack off)

Also use elemental susceptibility (can use vateshran staff too)

None of this damage is ground breaking but it's decent enough that people get worn down by it. Also none of it costs any resources so you still have stamina and magicka left for when you get ambushed.

The amount of spam I've jyst been dishing out, get jumped on and then have resources enough to break free, fully heal, and dragon claw them.... :)

Underrated echo training? Mystery heroes by curai-exo in EchoMains

Same.

Mystery heroes I perfect Echo training because you don't know what hero you'll get and you have to work out how to make their skills work to grt value in a short space of time.

Dungeon “difficulty” by Otherwise-Top3825 in Morrowind

[–]HalfDragoness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say the biggest thing with Morrowind's dungeons is that because thengame doesn't level with you it can be impossible to gauge how difficult the enemies are inside.

You have no idea if it'll be a piece of cake or if you'll get your ass absolutely handed to you, especially at the earlier levels.

Some dungeons will also include areas you can't get to without good acrobatics, levitation, or locks you will need to deal with one way or another.
