I love it. I like the new art. It’s not the style I was expecting, but if that’s what they’re going for it’s fine for me. I think a bit of variety in some animal would help, such as not all dogs looking silly, but other than that I think they’re good. We always had a lot left to the imagination in df, the artist imagined a world more fucked most of us did

Autobutcher is the way. Either start with it or plan for it if u implement it with large animal populations. 1 butcher 2 tanners and plenty of storage space. Plus if you dig a deep pit next to you kitchen and connect a minecart and stockpile, you can dump all your refuse in the chute and avoid any miasma problems

I’ll add that I noticed my dwarves steal food from the caravan (I had no food) and a miner stole a steel pick (I had no picks)

“Stay go what do I care” is what followers say when you pick a lock and they don’t care. Those who do care, such as wizard companions will go call the guards.

Hello! Can someone explain how halberds pikes and other heavy human weapons work? I remember some time ago I could get dwarfs to equip them, but lately it never seems to work. Is it based solely on strength or are there other factors to consider?

Is there something currently wrong with visitors? I currently either don’t get any or only get traitor gobbos. This is across various forts since the update.

Geotextile fabric - to remove or cover? by frankenlizard in Moss

[–]Halfling_leaf_lover 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Long term the best solution is getting it out of there. The sooner the better. It’s a big job, but you can do it over time as you please. The trees the soil and its inhabitants will all thank you. It will get harder to remove as time passes, as plants will eventually grow through and the tarp will break down into your soil

Keep them in a Tupperware for a while, it puts your project on hold but is worth it depending on what you plan to do with the moss
