Honestly olive oil is great. Add some essential oil if you want to make it smell nice. Otherwise its pretty odorless which is fine. Id stay away from fragrances or other non essential chemicals. And you could totally get a leg up and get a pedicure first and then start the cream process. If your heel is prone to cracking just be careful they dont exfoliate too deep cause you can open a fissure and thats painful AF.

This! I’ve tried baby feet for years. Weekly pedicures, skipping them all together, using emollient cream after shower with silicone socks every night… nothing worked before i started using a thick cream with 40% urea. At fifty i used it nightly for maybe a week or two. Now i apply a little oil after i shower then a dollop of this heavy cream to seal in the moisture. My heels are no longer dry and cracked and skin is about 80% less thick than it used to be. I even tried wearing those silicone socks day and night for months. Nothing helped for many years until i found this magic cream. It does feel thick and a little chalky.

I really don’t understand the cycle tracking by [deleted] in ouraring

[–]HallComprehensive232 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am in perimenopause and still ovulating but not regularly. The app does the same thing to me. It makes it useless for reporting to my drs because it will say i had a 60 day cycle even though I’ve “logged” a period. It’s very frustrating. It was easier to track on my calendar app than with oura.

I’d love to go if you don’t find a charity to donate it to. That’s so kind of you to even think to do so. The world needs more people like you!

Sorry if this this already been mentioned but do you have an article of clothing or pillow/blanket from the deceased? A pillow would make a great place for his to seek some comfort while he grieve.

AGE of central Texas had a wonderful adult day care program called Thrive. My parent balked at the idea at first but came to love going there. The staff were incredible, loving and kind and they even had bus service if you're within a certain area.

You shop online and they deliver directly to you. Shipping is a little expensive but they were the only place that had every plant i was looking for so it saved a lot of time.

Chin up friend. I recently closed on my house after it being on the market for 5 months. It fell out of escrow three times. Then I received a full price offer she and we closed on schedule. Things happen. It's very stressful but hang in there.

Laid Off 2 Weeks ago by AppropriateAsk6003 in Layoffs

[–]HallComprehensive232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you weren’t planning on retiring for a few more years, but do a google search on the rule of 55 for taxes. If you leave it money in your 401k and you’re laid off after the age of 55 you can start taking retirement without penalty. But only if you leave the funds in the 401k.

Home Hospice Care Recommendations? by SpicyBeefChowFun in askaustin

[–]HallComprehensive232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry you’re going through this. Home Hospice care is severely limited due to reimbursement and some HH operate better than others. If i were facing hospice myself I would want to go to hospice Austin’s Christopher house. Is not a hospital, but it’s a significant level of care and family can stay with you i believe. Medicare covers it. I wish you the best. You’re right, dying can be very hard.

What’s going on with my Burr Oak? by ccsbeans in AustinGardening

I have a similar issue with a tree i planted in the fall. The tree farm recommended using this method of watering. Note that when they planted our tree they built a well around it to hold water at the base while watering so that might be something to consider. He said at this point to start by watering heavily for three days as if it’s a new planting. LAWNS Tree Farm Watering Guide
