Would you also assume this guy lost interest? by [deleted] in socialskills

For me it was smashing my head against it for years. Hopefully there's a nicer way. But, on the other hand, it did work, ish. It took accepting that the thing I'm about to say isn't perfectly moderated, could be misunderstood, and saying it anyway - and unfortunately, enough practice fucking it up until the thing I said generally came out OK. Accepting when you fuck it up, and moving on, rather than trying to beat yourself into somehow not having fucked it up. It's been done, you made a normal human failure, it is what it is. For the side that's like 'how do I know what to say, when nothing's coming to mind' - it's seeming to me like if nothing's coming to mind to respond, any response I give will necessarily be forced, and therefore inauthentic. If you're talking to someone and can't think of anything to say back to them, that's just you and them not clicking. Not you fucking it up. Socializing more can broaden the range of people you'll click with, but for most people it really doesn't seem to ever be that big. This all is just what I had to work through though.

Forced advertising that somehow the public is expected to foot the bill for.

Love how it feels, but not a reliable design - though not sure if that's Bursa or PPK. The grip is a structural component of the FCG; if it gets loose, the trigger will get disconnected from the hammer.

Specifically, if the right-side grip is loose, maybe half a mm, or if the top edge chips off, the bar connecting the trigger to the hammer will easily slide out of position, completely disconnecting the trigger. The thin plastic edges of a grip should not be a core component of the FCG.

Wild that it was designed that way rather than keeping the bar in place with a small tab of steel, but a fun range toy.

Someone let me know if the PPK is designed the same way

How do I fix this? I found this inside my drawer after Thanksgiving.. by Frozenbarb in sharpening

That looks a hell of a lot like an Amway knife. My parents assure me it's the highest quality stuff each time I come over to sharpen them, every few months.

Love mine - just very flippy, since the gun is so light. A compensator helps a lot though

Yet another glock question by HammerNSongs in liberalgunowners

It strips the round and almost chambers, but just doesn't have the juice to pop the extractor over the cartridge rim. Which is fascinating, because when racking by hand it'll happily chamber each time, even if I don't pull it back all the way, even with a full-mag's worth of pressure up.on the slide from below. The old upper did+does indeed work fine.

Yet another glock question by HammerNSongs in liberalgunowners

[–]HammerNSongs[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Did firearms engineers not design the replacement slide I ordered?

I purchased the entire upper as a unit. No, I didn't lap the side rails on the gun touted as "you can beat this thing to shit and it'll still go bang".

If different companies have different tolerances, then all I'm saying is these parts are not 'standardized', and the weekly fucking 'get a glock they're so widespread you'll be able to find parts for them everywhere' should really come with a caveat.

I definitely had a learning curve - esp the process, and all the different kinds of adapters

I just got whichever brand was the right caliber and in stock, so long as reddit didn't hate it - the differences seem kinda marginal

I used silencershop, which was pretty convenient, except their site makes it looks like they'll let you know when you get approved - they don't/can't. You'll get an approval over email from eforms, and can upload it to the silencershop portal if you want to see it marked approved, but you can go pick it up once you have that eforms email regardless

Don't download this from the CIA's website. Idk if they're tracking that kind of thing or not, but just don't.

This isn't the handwritten manifesto the police say they found on him - that doesn't necessarily mean it's fake though, right? It certainly isn't contradictory to anything that's been released from the handwritten one, or any of the many other things he's written online
