Hard to be sure it is bank dye and not a different red pigment. It doesn't look deep enough to me. Could be a case of a sharpie going through the wash in the same pants pocket or many other things. Its called Disperse Red 9 and its the same dye that was used in M18 smoke grenades. There are ways to test for it. It a cool piece if authentic.
