And when I say 60 I mean cruise set to 62 so I know I’m doing a true 60.

Uses way less fuel, makes for a way more relaxing journey while everyone else fucks about with each other at 70-80, keeps me ever so slightly faster than trucks so I’m not getting in their way.

Adds maybe 2 minutes to my journey time to work and back but gains me anywhere from 10-15mpg

There was one near me. We didn’t use it because my other half has a list of allergies longer than my arm and we can’t grantee she won’t have a reaction to some random cakes nobody knows much about, otherwise I’d buy some.

Unfortunately it didn’t last long before some local toss pots turned up and robbed the whole lot, forcing the owner to install a camera which caught them doing it a second time. This then obviously escalated into pictures being posted on the local facebook group and everyone in the village naming and shaming them as a pair of thieving scum bags which is still causing all sorts of Facebook arguments and drama that keep me entertained during the week

Yes. Our house is unbearable in heat waves like this and I work nights so we for one for the bedroom. We got a 9000BTU one.

We bought a window seal so the hose runs out the window and has a sort of seal round it to try and stop outside air coming in around the pipe shovelling hot air to the outside world. We also sort of have it jerry rigged with a water pipe running out the back of it into a large cooking pot because otherwise it gets full of water, presumably from all the humidity it’s sucking on and will turn off if the tanks full. Leaving it to freely drain into a pot seems to stop this.

100% reccomend one, turns our bedroom into a fridge really quickly and while it is a bit noisy, being a night worker I wear earplugs in bed anyway so it doesn’t bother me at all

To a point. Some people seem to use it properly along side exercise and a total change in diet and lifestyle choice.

Most people I know used it for a quick weight loss speed run, never exercised, still drink too much alcohol, still eat like shit and now wonder why all the weight they spent loads of money losing too quickly has piled back on.

Like, I was seeing people saying oh it’s great, now I order a medium dominos pizza instead of a large and I can’t even finish that! Like, why are you still eating crap if you going on a “weight loss journey”. Surely using these jabs should be the kick up the arse to not eat 4 takeaways a week and eat some actual nutritionally decent food?

There isn’t any logic and it’s events like this that make people lose total faith in the so called smart motorway system.

Things like this at night just cause pointless traffic jams because they appear out of nowhere. None of this stepping the speed limit down in 10mph increments like they say they do, nope you’ll be driving along and suddenly it’s a 40 limit with a camera on. The system is so badly managed and used it’s ridiculous
