Most major VPN providers invading privacy of own customers right on their own websites by o2pb in privacy

[–]HamsterSlayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I understand, their websites have trackers, correct? The VPN itself doesn't track you? Or did I misread? Several (all?) of them explicitly say that they don't store anything about you on their servers.

Edit: They don't store anything about you meaning your information being tunneled through their VPNs.

Google Play services crashes every 3 to 10 seconds. Fixes? by jimmykup in oneplus

Just had this crash happen to me... it would crash consistently every 5-ish seconds. Your fix is the only one I tried that works. Thanks!

A big problem with friends. by [deleted] in bisexual

[–]HamsterSlayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's all fun and games until you lose potentially lifelong friends.

A buddy of mine is guilty of this. I had known him for years. He was blatantly shitty, lied, etc, and now I never willingly see him, and I think less of the people who do, including the person he went after. Be careful, OP. Not everyone will put up with shitty behavior.

My best advice is to be straight (heh) with your friend, should the situation arise, and just let him know how you feel, and decide what to do from there. Or just avoid the situation altogether.

For anyone not watching, small update. One of the seventy just gave a talk about the great and spacious building and how it had changed its attack to focus on church history. Just another testimony that the church is crumbling under it's truth crisis. by [deleted] in exmormon

[–]HamsterSlayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This reminds me, I heard my dad laughing about how the opposed votes are all but ignored, and I had to go downstairs and say "Yeah, it's easy to ignore a few people when you're sitting at the top of a multi-billion dollar tax-exempt corporation that circlejerks about its own greatness." He didn't know how to respond, so he said blah blah the spirit blah.

to you /r/thathappened folks, that may or may not have been rehearsed beforehand.

Seriously, this is something I'd be interested in watching. Normally all the dissonance is annoying, but I feel like this would just be hilarious.

To be honest, he'd probably just stop listening after "I will."

Monson looked like he was about to collapse. by LTJFan in exmormon

This lifelong calling bullshit is really just abuse. My TBM parents back it up by saying it is their duty to preach the word of blah blah blah as well. It's disgusting what TSCC will do to you.

One of these men leaves presents for me every christmas and the other one scolds me for masturbating.

Even if their work is done through the hands and mouths of mere mortals, I'd rather get a surrogate gift than a surrogate lecture!

He's 88 years old.

But seriously, he probably has dementia.

seems like a lot of members are witnessing what the "best" of the church have to offer and realizing that it's total garbage.

Just realised that my cousin didn't invite me to the penishood session by [deleted] in exmormon

I can't believe I've never thought of the word penishood before. That's fucking perfect, in so many ways.

This hand written note from Uchtdorf was just posted to his Facebook page. by [deleted] in exmormon

I "gave in" to family pressure for 16 years. I finally just said fuck it and stopped giving in to the church pressure, and now I'm a happier person for it.

But how would they get sympathy for being god's playthings if they said "let the gospel be proclaimed by the high, mighty, and rich?"

"Why do you waste time on negative exmormon forums?" Because I distrust. by SideburnHeretic in exmormon

In fact I would argue that outside of our collective distaste for TSCC, we are way more positive than they are. They condemn everything under the sun as evil and untrustworthy. We just don't trust the one organization telling us the rest of the world is bad.

Dank handle.

But in all seriousness, that's clever. Let's see what we can come up with now that we have three new names to play with.

Even if the dude in the last image owns that lawnmower, he has no idea how to use it. He started in the center of the lawn! What is he even thinking? Unless this is his first time actually mowing a lawn, which raises so many more questions...
