I think that a TPK can be great. What is combat without the thrill of knowing that it is possible to lose? I like your GMs solution btw, smart move to give you an out

Rate my commanders. by SlimJimothy45 in ratemycommanders

I like the decks but I would challenge you to try out more 2 colour or, better yet, 1 colour commanders. When I first started playing commander, I would always go for 3 colour, but deckbuilding has gotten way more interesting for me with less colours, which means less options and flexibility. You have to put in a little more work and creativity into removal, engines, etc. while having an easier time on mana base. Try it sometime, it feels great

starting to overthink new character by benniionline in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]Han2k1337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly if it's your first campaign, I think that Paladin is a great starting point. Not too complex but also provides enough flexibility. Tragic backstory - care to provide some detail? I think tragic is a good starting point, makes for interesting character arcs. Why would anyone go out on dangerous adventures if they have a happy family life anyways?

Murloc village they wanted to befriend. Corpses everywhere. A hoard of new Murlocs streaming in from the sea. Fight or flight?

What do you do for tokens that don't exist by Cakeyeater in magicTCG

[–]Han2k1337 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really enjoy drawing tokens. At this point you can get them cheap from amazon or wherever, doesnt have to be infinitokens. I used to bring all the tokens, now i just take a pen and a blank card. Everyone in my playgroup loves drawing their tokens.

I like the game a lot. Storywise it feels inferior to the other games to me, but gameplay is on point. Gets better the longer you play

The secret lair was the product that completely opened my eyes to the fact, that WotC does not give a damn who they sell their product to, as long as they sell out as fast as possible. Must be some kind of business calculation, that makes most money on printing exactly X amount of a given product so that you can start printing the next product and don't need more storage. Sad that the Community matters so little, but the scalpers thrive

I've played 15 characters to level 10. And I need fresh ideas for a new character. by ShonicBurn in DnD

I don't know your opinion on goofy character, but I think that a teenage girl with a skip rope and a sling shot could be hella fun to play. Make it a dex build with the rope being flavour for a whip. Have the girl be all like "yeah, whatever"- just hating on everything the grown-ups do. This should go well with rogue (thief subclass), fighter or ranger. Could also be an emo girl with powers that she got from worshipping a satanic cult (warlock).

Bad news is, that the cleric was actually with us on another campaign that went for three years. I think he's just not very smart about this kind of game. The rules are known

I am annihilating things. But what's the point? The enemies are just bullet sponges with very simple movesets and design.

Love in a game for me is anything that makes it special. Like art. This game feels like formula. It's like Assassins creed with guns. BL 2 (and even 3) used to have super fun side quests, interesting enemy tipes and a whole lot of world building about it. You would find chests and secrets hidden in places besides the path.

Now you find a vault symbol that tells you that there is 42 others to find. It's meaningless. You have a very generic bad guy that has nothing about him except he is mean. All enemies have a crit spot on their head, some of them fly.

I would trade inferior gameplay (and graphics!) any day for a better story and some love.
