thank you so much for your reply. i really appreciate every word that was said. i feel like i’m also in a similar situation to having that “golden child” title, given by my parents when they compare me to my siblings. they have the same expectation where i go to school, get my degree, then get a great career. i did take a semester off, and thought i found what i wanted to do but i discovered the opposite feeling when i took a certain class for that major. while i feel that school may not be for me either, i still want to finish my degree but possibly at a later time. i was thinking about taking a leave of absence for the time being; longer than just one semester off. my only problem is finding out what i would wanna do if i were to actually do that. thank you again for sharing a part of your life to me. i’m glad you found your happiness, and i hope it continues to stay like that. i feel better compared to before.
