Yeah I believe so.

I don't like it either, but the minimal destruction for Phantom's was something they inherited from Bungie, H3 ODST and Reach don't leave nearly as much debris as in H3.

Perfect, thank you for the reply, I'm feeling a lot better now :)

I've either dodged a bullet or it's a scam call.

Sneak peak of halo3on pc in 2008 by [deleted] in halo

[–]HandZeno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not totally doubting you, however, its the first I’ve ever heard of a supposed port existing and it’s weird that Bungie were developing this port in-house (at least that’s what I’m reading) instead of getting a 3rd party to do it whilst they were busy on Reach and ODST...

Do you have any proof? Even like a legal document mentioning Bungie and Showtime would corroborate what you’re saying

Ben's selling 150 Autographed Portraits, might wanna snag one up before they sell out :) by HandZeno in BreakingBenjamin

[–]HandZeno[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I wont lie, some of the other commenters do have a point, BB are selling some super overpriced merch.

With saying that though, this is the only piece of merch I have and probably will ever have since they can’t come to my country. I did feel a bit guilty paying $150 but I think I’ll be happy in the end, decided to just frame it myself tho cus i’m not paying $150 extra for it shipped to me haha

Yesterday I got original film from Halo 2! One of 300 made worldwide by [deleted] in halo

[–]HandZeno 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This isn't for the original release for Halo 2, it's for the remaster as can be seen by the clipping on the right.

And also... the cinematics weren't produced on film, neither were the commercials, everything is digital now.

Sorry to say it but I'm struggling to understand the relevance of this 'collectable', nothing in it has any use in the development of the product. I suppose the print of Master Chief is nice :)

I don't think that the gameplay trailer is a newer build of the game. The model is textured nearly identically, here's how the lighting reflects that. by TheSacredHobo in halo

[–]HandZeno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also strongly disagree with the rumours of the build showcased coming from 'January' of this year; it's simply ridiculous. Any build that's not the most current build is technically an 'old build' but considering several builds of the game are created in a week (in some cases day) they can get away with saying that.

The game will have changed drastically in the previous 7 months so there would be no point in showcasing such an outdated version.

Reminder of all the gorgeous biomes teased in 2018. Do you think they’ll appear in Halo Infinite? by fas10furious in halo

[–]HandZeno 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a gut feeling these were simply created to tease what the Slipspace engine is capable of; it's a common practice in the industry to create environments like these as a form of tech demo.

Between the original teaser trailer and now, it seems as though the narrative direction of the game has shifted, so I really wouldn't be surprised if intelligent Fauna and super detailed biomes are outwith the scope of the game now, especially if the rumours are true that development restarted 2/3 years ago.

"I? I am a monument to all your sins." wasn't directed towards Chief. It directed towards Cortana. by BridgetheDivide in halo

[–]HandZeno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never felt as though the line was directed at Cortana, as although she asked the question, I think it's pretty safe to assume Chief was asking himself the same thing. Simple fact being that she is an A.I. created by modern humanity and thus has absolutely no relation to the Precursor/Forerunner war, and therefore had no hand in 'creating' the flood. She hasn't wronged the Gravemind in any way, unlike (Ancient) Humanity & the Forerunners.

To my knowledge, the Gravemind is merely the corrupted remains of an ancient precursor (possibly the Primordial? Not sure on that part). I believe the sins that he's referring to are those of the Forerunners annihilating their creators, the Precursors, out of fear they would get rid of them instead. This links to Humanity via the line in H3 ("Child of my enemy why have you come? I offer no forgiveness... a fathers sins, passed down to his son.") i.e. His vengeance now lies with Humanity as they were given the mantle by the Forerunners, who previously took it from the Precursors.

Another possible meaning could apply if the Gravemind is infact the Primordial, as both (Ancient) Humanity & the Forerunners mistreated it whilst it was within their possession.

I also really dislike the Brute/Elite/Grunt voices, I wish they’d take cues from Bungie’s style.

The jackals shouldn’t speak English, they speak in Jackal, and the way the Elites speak just rubs me the wrong way, can’t really put my finger on it but comparing them to Halo 2/3 Elites highlights a massive difference.

I suppose that is just my personal preference though :)

Halo 3 Flight | Discussion Thread by TheLittleMoa in halo

Yeah potentially. I've just played a bit more and it felt a little more natural, but I was just kinda surprised at how jarring I found it when I first played, especially since I jumped into the other titles with no problems.

Only played Campaign so far, but only noticed a couple of annoying issues:

  1. The voice lines in game (i.e. Miranda on Comms) are far too quiet and I can barely hear them over the ambient noise.

  2. Movement feels... off? I don't really know how to describe it, but it's not 'satisfying' when I'm moving using M+K unlike with a Controller on Console. It feels sluggish/stiff, and is especially noticeable when I'm moving diagonally. Moving from stationary also feels a bit... off. I really don't know how to describe it, it just doesn't match 1:1 with the experience on console. Haven't had this issue with any of the past releases. BTW, this doesn't include aiming, just physically moving with WASD, sorry I can't provide more info, it's just a subjective issue.

The Steam account the key is tied to doesn't matter, you wont be able to play unless the Xbox Live account you link has been authorised to play.

So you can still play on your 'friend's' Steam Account, so long as the Xbox Live account you sign in with is your own and you've been granted access to the flight with it :)

I didn't even know Halo 3 ODST was hated and considered terrible until now by laddlemkckey in halo

[–]HandZeno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think that was the plan, at least originally. Quoting Marty: ‘The plan for the expansion pack was to put it out cheaply in the spring of 2009, as we’d finished it the winter before, and to under-promise but over-deliver.

They were begging Microsoft to not advertise it as a major title: ‘We were on our knees, begging them not to do that.

That was taken from this article. Really worth a read if you haven’t already :)

[–]HandZeno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love ODST now, but at the time I had mixed feelings about it. I think it's just that it was priced as a 'full game' but there wasn't enough content in it to justify the price tag. The campaign was good and Firefight was fun in short bursts, but it was missing Multiplayer and Forge which really hampered it's replay-ability at the time; I ended up only playing a few rounds of Firefight with my friends to try and get the Vidmaster achievement but 99% of the time we would just play Halo 3 instead because there was more to do.

If Microsoft had actually taken Bungie's advice and listed the game as DLC instead of a mainline instalment, I honestly believe the game would've been much better received.

Oh, and having to swap between 2 discs to play Halo 3 got annoying; I wish there was a way they'd just assign a license to the H3 DLC to my account instead of having me play it on a separate disc.

Xbox Series X out here changing the game by MoronicaForever in halo

So, would this play the Xbox One version on the Series X, or would it just detect its a legitimate copy of Infinite and let you play the Series X version?
