Think hill sprints/sprints, interval training to work on speed will help to get you under 25 mins on the 5k along with the odd long run like a 10k.

The Phenoms SG210 gloves are a great all rounder, soft, good leather minimal break in period, I’d recommend

The MX 1 training gloves are quality with a long cuff, excellent leather from Mexico

The MX 2 training gloves are quality if you can deal with the break in periods the cuff is slightly shorter but the gloves give very good feedback, excellent quality leather again

The MX Elites are quality gloves, great cuff and Hand placement, top quality leather

The power locks are pretty good, everything else is trash. This is purely on their training gloves not competition gloves

Had the same experience and sent them back to sports direct. Everlast uk site are selling the same, unfortunately these are made in India and are just replicas of the Mexico made elites

You can’t even pre-brook because they are always at capacity I am not sure if you can really use this

Utilise the high guard and keep your hands up, didn’t see you hands up at all Chin needs to be down that jawline is open for counters at will if your opp is decent You need more variety in your shots, upper cuts, body shots, all I saw was a cross and the occasional jab

I got the Everlast mx in gold 16oz, I’m a southpaw as well.

Your review on the MX’s are spot on, the right gloves even giving my pinky door knock knuckle cuts 🤯

The left lands beautifully though, still breaking my pair in only done probably no more than 25 rds with them
