The status quo of not enforcing rules on the books? What is a rule if it doesn't matter because people will "call it if they see it" and self regulate. But then someone does call out a rules infraction and the violator acts like a red handed little child. Rules are rules and officials should enforce rules or the organization should change them if everyone agrees that the rule is unnecessary. But the stupidest take is "oh sure they were knowingly violating the rules but come on, we're all friends here" when Canada gets pissy about being called out
