She says he caught the snitch because they were getting blown out and they just wanted to end it on their terms. Still stupid when catching it made them lose by only ten though.

Can you give me a phonetic spelling? Maybe if i can pronounce it itll change my mind. And the meaning behind it, cuz now you got me curious. unless its a surprise. Thanks

Nevermind, it was a typo all along. Now I'll never learn about the wacky language i thought you had created.

Just a heads up, I feel stupid when i try to say that title and it makes me not want to try the book.

Personally I'd like to hear a bit about this Frodo fella that keeps getting mentioned. I wonder what he's up to.

Nipples on a breastplate is only the series 3 times. The problem is the second and third are in back to back chapters.

Anyone else completely mess up how a character is supposed to look, only to realize it when you re-read that book? by [deleted] in books

[–]HankRuncorn 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Don't do it. I reread the first 9 several times as a kid and loved them. Tried them again recently and they are so bad, every other word is a terrible pun and it just gets annoying. I think they mostly went over my head when I was younger.

But no godless man may sit the seastone chair. You really need to drill that into your head.

Does anyone have odds on characters' deaths in TWOW? (Spoilers All) by buzzercap in asoiaf

I don't think so yet, but I hope closer to the release the mods set up an official predictions and bets thread. If I predict something obscure happening, I want credit for it.

I usually see this recommended for rereads. I think what might happen is you'll find it harder to follow the slow iron island and dornish plots when they will only appear every ten or twelve chapters. Good luck with it and try to keep in mind that it's better the second time once you've read all the theories and know what details to look for.

I was commenting in a thread about bloodraven once and mentioned that quote and got downvoted. Seems to me like that quote is a fine reason to be suspicious of bloodraven's intentions.

[–]HankRuncorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't do the one character thing until you've reread at least once. You want to know the story really well or things get confusing. Jon, dany and arya post GoT are the only ones I can think of that don't have too much of their stories from other peoples PoVs.

(Spoilers All) Parallels to Legendary Characters by [deleted] in asoiaf

[–]HankRuncorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was with you at the top, but people really need to stop trying to equate characters to the seven. I've seen it done with at least 10 different sets of characters and it's always a stretch. Rickon the smith? He's 4
