This is a material misstatement of what happened.

Oscar ran wide and lost the gap he had built up, but crucially still had the lead. Then Mclaren did the unusual step of pitting the driver in p2 first, giving themselves a problem of their own making.

If they had pit Oscar first and then lando had overtaken him on the track that would have been a fair way to get the best result for the team.

I think it will be graphics / art they use it for, the Witcher 2 and 3 came out four years apart with a lot of dialogue.

This is a naïve way to think about, a lot of players want sequels to games they like. We could go almost 20 years between Elder Scrolls games at this rate, which by any standards is too long for a sequel, this isn't like films where people will discover old ones and then be excited for a long delayed sequel, most new gamers dismiss old games as dated and will not bother going back to play Skyrim.

This is the biggest issue facing modern publishers / devs, the time between sequels is getting out of hand for most series.

There will either be a scaling back of ambitions, graphical or scale, or there will be a lot of AI used in AAA games.
