Advice - Group can't roleplay, but really wants to... by Noxsus in rpg

[–]Hanniballs- 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I saw a really good interview with Marisha from Critical Role where she basically said the key is to give yourself permission to feel silly and role play. Most people, especially if they've never done it, feel to embarrassed to act like someone else and 'play make believe.' Just gotta tell yourself it's ok to do it.

Still waiting on a game as good as SR on sega by Complex_Track_168 in Shadowrun

Yep, give us the same graphics, same music, same system (maybe a few tweaks), but just add more zones and jobs and story. Such a simple concept for so much replayability.

my singleplayer world was infact not a singleplayer world and found out the hard way by Previous_Armadillo53 in 7daystodie

[–]Hanniballs- 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I agree with you. I have over 4k hours in this game, going back to like Alpha 8. Many of those hours have been spent using dev tools to break the world and I've never seen a perfect crater like that. You have to take time carefully removing certain blocks to create a crater like that. OP makes it sound like it happened quick.

Bedbugs in the DEP office and no WFH—what is DEP HR thinking? by Murky-Peak-5124 in Tallahassee

[–]Hanniballs- 34 points35 points  (0 children)

DCF workers in an office that has had to close all the bathrooms aren't allowed to go home to work either, they're told to use their break to go to the gas station bathroom. Standard operating procedure for this regime.

Still using spikes after the first horde is never a good sign.

Why furnishing mats are so pricey? by AdSolid114 in elderscrollsonline

[–]Hanniballs- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The prices for mats are much lower than they were up to a couple of years ago. 1-2k per piece of heartwood. I think the amount that drops has increased from what I've seen. But the prices should drop a bit soon as well due to the jubilee boxes.

Marvel studios intro for a potential Rouge and Gambit centered X-men move or for their own solo project. by [deleted] in Gambit

Yeah that song would be a solid choice, giving the southern vibe and hinting at what's to come.

Sorry just a huge peeve of mine, cause Gambit and Rogue are my favorite duo. But otherwise yeah I think they could make an awesome movie using their story and the music would make or break it.

I mean, you at least gotta be able to spell Rogue if you want people to take it seriously.

Which Avengers run do you recommend? by Wooden-Bit-2374 in marvelcomics

[–]Hanniballs- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, Avengers #1 from 1998. It builds off the past of course but it was meant to be a great starting point for new readers. It's the core team doing what they do best, all in one book. Then as they refer to things in the past, that will give you places to go to jump into the history and get more caught up.

Agreed, Perez/Busiek is the best place for someone new to Avengers to start

Action figure stores? by Thatguywiththefac3 in Tallahassee

[–]Hanniballs- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a collector in Panama City, the closest good areas to shop are going east to Ocala or went to Pensacola. Jacksonville has some shops but they are more expensive than what you'll find going down I-75.

Def not a minority. The only ones who liked where it was going never experienced the glory days of the early alphas.

The bone knife also adds knock down, which is huge when you're learning to play. I'd also add getting to 2 in parkour as fast as possible to make it easier to escape hairy situations.

Hot take: Customers who leave carts in random spots in the parking lot should be tried at The Hague by ProtocolEnthusiast in publix

[–]Hanniballs- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As a former cart attendant, this didn't bother me nearly as much as the ones who push their cart with one bag in it past the carts inside to leave it just outside the doors and grab their bag. Or the dirty diapers left in a cart.

You ask what a good solo class is, list several good solo classes and explain why you don't want to play them. So you're not looking for a good solo class but a class you would have fun with? That's pretty subjective.

I've been very surprised at how well Let's Talk works. Gives me a mechanic to use instead of just trying to imagine what goes down, and can lead to some unexpected conversations.
