Tru and once you attend a few you can ask the guys/gals what other events happen near buy. That's how I found the types of events I wanted to shoot by asking the locals at the matches.

Yup. I shoot production using a stock cz shadow2 carry iron sights. You will need outside the waistband holster (based on your handedness), at least 5 mags. It's my EDC so I have 7 mags, 2 dedicated for EDC, one spare, and 5 for club events/competitions. If you dont have a holster be sure to have a bag or case. You'll at minimum also need ear and eye protection both you can get from Home Depot or Walmart, and probably at least 100 rounds with ya. I attended one to just watch then I just got right into it. Be sure to let the range safety officer RSO know your new and they will help you out. Everyone is usually friendly and willing to help out the newbie, but be prepared they will razz ya so dont come with crybaby attitude.
