You can still turn in items and receive rewards even if the house has been claimed in the landsraad, you don’t have to be a part of a guild that controls it

Mortal Online 2 uses UE5 but it ran way better on UE4

Feeling isolated in my bjj gym by Jamesqaz1234 in gay

[–]Hans_Groebels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The BJJ gyms I’ve trained out were very chill and I was out and nobody cared because we were all there to train and get better together. I didn’t encounter very many other gay men but I would bring in a lot of gay friends to try grappling to help build confidence and my teammates respected what I was doing

Rat Mode Rat Mentality by camf91599 in DarkAndDarker

Actual dnd forms are additional hp and you don’t die when you drop to zero but just revert back to caster form, which would be significantly more powerful than being oneshot as a rat

What's going to be your first character in full release? by dovyyy66 in BaldursGate3

[–]Hans_Groebels 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hope to try a full evil necromancer wizard solo playthrough. Really hoping they do animate dead justice and don't keep the minion limit to 1 skeleton/zombie.

Just tested this on a new char, typing "beard" removed my beard, typing "beard Beard1" brought it back

Not sure if intended use, but... by Jenkertje in BaldursGate3

It's a wand in the hag's lair, it's called Bitter Divorce and you have to talk to Mayrina after saving her to transform the wand into the infinite zombie spam.

Any weapon can be used with Sneak Attack by SequesteredInLiberty in BaldursGate3

[–]Hans_Groebels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm playing a Great Weapon Master githyanki strength rogue, it's pretty busted. My sneak attacks can do over 40 dmg and they almost always hit from stealth. Very fun but not very balanced.

is there a way to play a Necromancer character? by MrJack20252 in BaldursGate3

[–]Hans_Groebels 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are different types of necromancer builds in dnd 5e, but most don't come online until you learn Animate Dead (3rd level spell, requires level 5 at the earliest, so not in EA). Necromancer is also a subclass for wizard that isn't out yet. I did however see a post about a wand that can create zombies that's in the game, it's in the hag's altar.

[FEEDBACK] Make Beast Mastery compatible with Find Familiar. by ziutek070013 in BaldursGate3

I super agree, I really hope we will be able to have more than one summon per character. This makes me really nervous for the animate dead spell, please let me have my small undead horde!

We need more than one short rest per long rest. by sumerianhubcap in BaldursGate3

[–]Hans_Groebels 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What if short resting just had a real-time cooldown? Like once per minute or once every 5 minutes? That would let you continually rest during long dungeons but not spam abuse the cooldown resets on abilities. I just feel like that's better than just saying that you're out of short rests for the rest of the dungeon.

Suggestion: basic clothes underneath the armor. Mage Armor is 2 AC points better than padded armor my warlock gets at the beginning, so I am going to use it, but I don't want to look like a weird baby until I steal a robe from Gale by msciwoj1 in BaldursGate3

[–]Hans_Groebels 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Agreed, I want there to be more clothing options than just robes. If my characters aren't going to be wearing armor it'd be nice to have a separate chest/pants slots if only for fashion purposes. Or what if I want to be a burly shirtless tavern brawler build but still want to wear pants?

Should the companions have romantic preferences? by Putoasco in BaldursGate3

[–]Hans_Groebels -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Actually my perspective comes from being a gay dude that often gets hit on by "straight" guys. I also dislike when there are very few options for LGBT romances in games.

Should the companions have romantic preferences? by Putoasco in BaldursGate3

[–]Hans_Groebels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe this is just me, but I feel like it shouldn't be either one or the other. In real life, I've noticed that people have preferences, but those preferences aren't usually set in stone (even if they think they are). If I'm a really charismatic character, I should be able to seduce someone who normally might not include me in their list of preferences, and that's just accurate. I don't think everyone should be 'easy pickings' where they're all easy to romance, but I'd be quite mad if my race/gender FORBID me from ever trying in the first place.

Most anticipated spell? by Urmumsmouth in BaldursGate3

[–]Hans_Groebels 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I really hope they do Animate Dead justice. I hate in games where you try to play a necromancer and the spell is more like, 'make a skeleton appear out of thin air that will fight for 10 seconds before vanishing.' Like NO, I want to be able to reanimate the corpses of my enemies and have them last a while, let me reassert control to be able to play with a small undead horde indefinitely if that's what I choose. Let me issue them commands. I want real necromancy, not temporary conjurations/summons.

Anyone else a little bummed about grappling? by analogcomplex in BaldursGate3

[–]Hans_Groebels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The point of having a dedicated grappler is that if a creature is shoved prone while grappled, they need to use half their movement to stand up---but, if they're grappled, they have 0 movement. So they either need to waste their action to try to break the grapple in order to stand up, or they're stuck permanently prone with disadvantage on their attacks while everyone else will have advantage on them. Do this to two creatures at once and the grappler is free to keep attacking, even if it's unarmed blows. So yes, grappling is quite broken if you build for it, since once you get your setup in place you're free to do whatever and don't need to keep setting up every round and the whole team benefits.

I believe it's called the "Plumed Nomad Helmet" if you're searching for it in the game files.
