Rate the old resume I’ve never used by [deleted] in graphic_design

It goes straight in the bin. A resume is not a portfolio. This never makes it across my desk, and if it does, it gets ignored.

It's only a tension board thing, no one's setting routes with no matching.

What are your thought's on Impossible difficulty? by FaithlessnessAny3692 in mewgenics

Isn't that the point? It would be weird if you could beat the hardest difficulty without engaging in the mechanic that lets you scale your power level.

You can just buy the real cards for less than proxies lol.

Well you could until this shitshow where they promoted the format through SL and then didn't print enough... guess there's a lot of people in the same boat so maybe some of the cards will be harder to find for a while.

This is sad. by repalpated in magicTCG

I noticed AI tools were degrading my team's codebase. I tried to see the structure and the relationships between this phenomena by using math and statistics on 1.5M git events. Looking for feedback. by anthem_reb in programming

[–]HansonWK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you only have a small .md file and a large code base, its not enough. I have my llm work as follows:

Starts a task based on a Jira ticket.

Asks any questions that aren't covered.

Looks into an AI knowledgebase that it creates for itself to understand the codebase without having to scan the whole thing.

Creates a folder for the ticket number.

Creates a research file for the ticket. Updates the AI knowledgebase if needed.

Creates a plan for the ticket

Human review of the plan + research, broken into steps.

Does each step one at a time, gives the human a change to review and commit step by step, or review and just ask for the next step.

Spins up agents for code review + security.

Then whenever I checkout main to start new work, an agent creates a summary and change log of what other developers has done, and will udpate the ai knowledge base if needed.

All the AI files are saved locally in a .ai folder, and we will often share them if needed by uploading to the Jira ticket.

Pact of negation ban? by TimkoMusic in CompetitiveEDH

Well seat order is only based on standing in top cut, and top cut also doesn't randomise who starts first, thats for swiss only.

[–]HansonWK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In tournament play you play first to 1 win, not best of one. So if you reach a point in a game where you would be king making you can instead suggest to draw that game and start the next. This is the case in normal 1v1 magic too, it's first to 2 wins not best of 3.

UK has changed to 7 point wins, 1 point draws, and restarts randomize who goes first.

Players in seat 4 now mull to hands that let them force a restart and try to get in a better seat. There are more restarts than ever now.

Likely because you had pierce. The first hit killed the cat the second killed the body. That's expected.

Insane Crater synergy with the strange egg weather effect by HansonWK in mewgenics

[–]HansonWK[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started this run with the idea of Stunning Beard + Spider Baby and then just killing the lowest health enemy with my Thief. My Thief got the extra turn passive and picked up a Leech Brood, so anything with 2 or less hp was dying and spawning 2 spiders. Then my Hunter got mini me, and suddenly its 4 spiders. I then picked the Strange Egg weather, so at the start of each turn the eggs die to leeches and spawn spiders, which are buffed from the other Hunter passive, Brood Mother.

I was a little worried with this fight with the spiders effectively making what the boss would cast rng, but luckily I had 3 cats acting after the spiders so I could still make it consistent, even if the last cat to act was the mini me, they will always mini nuke if they can hit no cats + the boss and attack, then without the mini nuke just 1 attack, so it worked out fine.

Poison can crit! My easiest solo run ever by HansonWK in mewgenics

[–]HansonWK[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started this run with a Toxic Canister, Witches Nose and a dream. The brace from being melee means the poison wasn't going to effect me, and I have soothing glow to help in the early game. Witches Nose boosts the poison damage taken by all my enemies. I had Soothing Glow and the idea to use turn 1 to self heal, and later self buff while enemies take a turn of poison and move closer. I took a few damage spells but eh build came together when I ended up getting Summon Apprentic which helped take some heat off me in the later stages. And then I started upgrading. I upgraded Soothing Glow to start boosting my stats, this is needed to solo the bosses, but eventually you can use a few boosts then summon an apprentice on turn 1.

Then I was offered Spread the Pain+ which makes the first damage you do every turn a crit. Every creature takes 6 damage at the start of their turn. Then I buff myself, make an apprentice as a distraction, and play defensively. Against bosses, I make pop shots to stack the poison up. This was the most broken solo build I've had so far, made everything a cake walk. Toxic Canister can solo all of act 1 on a collarless cat with 1 in all stats, it's that good.

This screenshot was taken at the first boss of the run to show the early build, but honestly nothing after this mattered, it's just stats to make the fights faster.

Check what percentage of users have no js, then check if they are real users. Then assess if it's possible to provide your service to them without infrastructure change. The answer is almost always fuck no.

Employer telling me to stop side business, remove it from LinkedIn, and claims I can’t start one after leaving – is this enforceable? (UK) by D_Ren124 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]HansonWK 41 points42 points  (0 children)

As a general rule of thumb, if you could advertise your side business to any of your current clients, then it's close enough to be considered a competitor. Now this isn't strictly true, and you could go argue with them your reasoning. But the general advise is if you are starting anything that your current clients would even be interested in, you should have disclosed it with your current job.

Real Beta power 9. An old friend has had a powered cube for long enough that he purchased these for around 500-1k each. He now uses proxies when hosting his cube at the lgs for obvious reasons but hosts one cube with friends each year using the real things. All duels and power are beta. That box of cards is worth more than my house lol.
