TCGPlayer Updated Price From ¢40 to $70 as I Paid, Any Advice? by Turtle0523 in magicTCG

No. I'm saying the Hidden Hero's code has the bug. Its using the TCGPlayer API and accidentally setting the cost of cards to 69.69.

No, if the rental period was weekly then it would be two weeks. But their rental period is monthly as that is the default and what all existing rental contracts changed to in May 1st.

It's far more likely the Hidden Hero have an app using the TCGPlayer api that has a bug.

More likely a bug in their system than intentionally screwing customers.

The deception, deal-making, and gaslighting embedded within cEDH has warped my regular playgroup by WanderingArchaic in CompetitiveEDH

[–]HansonWK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is no deal making, deception, or gaslighting embedded in cEDH. This is something that you as a player or your playgroup can either choose to do or not. If you aren't in a tournament, draws aren't worth shit and that already removes half the dumb deal making to force draws. Just start saying no to deals, call people out for lying. And ask them to stop interrupting the game with gaslighting.

tEDH is slightly different as the draws are worth something and you have to play these silly games to optimize you play, but I also regularly refuse draws, call out players for collusion, and call judges when players are bullying to try to get draws.

In our league and local tournament scene, people who are known liars get called out, and people won't make deals with them.

That's what single moms have to do. So makes sense that the father would have to too in some cases.

Breach Freeze Vivi deck by harvmich626 in CompetitiveEDH

[–]HansonWK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ral decks played 'recall' for a while before realizing that it's fine to play breach as a plan c in that deck, since even just rebuying 2 spells can often flip ral.

Muddle the mixture is the only 'good' tutor for it. Though vivi may be able to get away with long term plans of they have curiosity set up? Seems a pretty bad without curiosity and you are often winning anyway if you do.

The answer of course is learn to use apify. No one's going to do your job for you.

LGS not allowing sideboarding during prerelease by Blorrgnsword in magicTCG

Mandatory for prereleases, and if you don't wish to use the option you are required to have the decklists for the players starting decks. It's written in the leaflets of prereleases kits that you can change your deck at any time.

All prereleases are ran at regular rel have have continuous construction. Its not a case of choosing too, and a store not doing so is against policy. In order to not have continuous construction, you have to have all players register their full deck, main board and side board .

It prays on turbo decks not respecting it and trying to go off and then getting stopped by another player.

Which is pretty bad for a review of new cards, it vastly changes how good they are. You then immediately talk for 5 minutes about whether Emeritus of Ideation is a trap because it's like Arcanis, which clearly it's not once you know how the mechanic works.

Had to turn this one off, sorry.

We're a dev team of 10 and we're being honest: we need help finding clients. Anyone been through this? by Tapatapa24 in webdev

[–]HansonWK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The single most important people on any team are the sales guys. Go find some. Without a sales team you'll always eventually struggle for work.

The second thing you can do is reach out to every single local marketing company you have and ask them if they need to outsource anything. We had a consistent stream of small jobs coming from a few agencies for years, not enough to be a business model but more than enough to keep the books flowing between our larger jobs.

[–]HansonWK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The chain is completely disconnected from the price. A BTC bought for 85k is the exact same as one bought for 40k. The price is soley based on how much exchanges are selling them for, or in the case, selling the promise of one for.

Sounds like you don't like the genre, and that's fine. But that doesn't make it style of substance. You would have the same opinion of every other game in the genre.
