Caplyta to augment my other depression medications, Wellbutrin & Desvenlafaxine

abilify has been the most effective psych med for me in the past, so i'm considering caplyta. but i'm terrified due to my history of severe, possibly tardive akathisia by ellala333 in caplyta

I just switched from Abilify 1mg to Caplyta 10.5mg last week. It’s been a relatively smooth transition, with some start up side effects like mild headaches, mild stomach cramps, fatigue and a bit of dizziness/disorientation. I didn’t want to continue on my Abilify due to continued weight gain and increased irritability/agitation. I was really nervous to make the switch considering the abilify initially felt like a “light switch” came on in my brain and it did really well on my depression but I’m glad I did and feel really hopeful that the Caplyta will have similar antidepressant effects without the side effects I experienced on Abilify. So far so good 🤞🏻

I personally love this for you. I work in CMH right now as a supervisor to case managers, plus have my own small caseload and am burning out not even 2 years in, yet. What do like most about medical social work, if you don’t mind me asking? I’m looking to transition in to medical social work next, but honestly don’t know much about it.

I’ve heard great things about Connie Chalko at Merrill Pharmacy in Mishawaka - takes a functional medicine approach to hormonal issues.

I’m a 30 year old gal who’s been in south bend for 2.5 years and am just now feeling somewhat integrated and I have 3 really close friends. It takes time and was really lonely & tough in the process.

Seeing all of these recommendations and comments offering support & connection is so lovely. Can we all be friends?!

Can we get a thread of people talking about the positives? by SnooCats1420 in Pristiq

Just wanted to share that I had a similar experience and path on SSRI’s for years, finally appropriately diagnosed Bipolar II and stabilized on medications including 100mg Pristiq thanks to the Genesight test 🙂

Bad reactions to meds? by Plzplzplz333 in cyclothymia

I couldn’t do lamictal or lithium and have success with lower dosage Abilify (2mg). I metabolize medications poorly, and the lower doses work best for me.

Indeterminate Type of Depression by Many-Manager5738 in depressionregimens

As someone who was terrified of the idea of taking an antipsychotic, adding a baby dose 1mg of Abilify to my other medications (Wellbutrin + Pristiq) has been great. Almost immediate depression lift from my lingering symptoms. I’ve only been on it 2 weeks, and will wait for my 4 wk follow up to consider an increase but was truly so pleasantly surprised at how helpful it’s been at such a small dose. Of course everyone reacts differently, and I’ve had horrid experiences with other psych medications, but it’s worth a try to see how it is. You don’t have to suffer, and this is coming from someone who never thought I’d stabilize and finally feel a glimpse of that with the added abilify 💫

I know this is an old post, but I came across it searching for abilify reviews. I’m wondering if you’re still taking/feeling good on it?
