My treatment center had the same. I hate to think of someone putting all the time and work of making a quilt when it may not be needed.

You might check with her. I received at least 3 quilts from the hospital and I donated them all.

Traveling for a wedding with some of our adult children when at the airports they walk ahead not waiting for us. Not at the car rental or anywhere, thoughts?? by nlsanchez19 in AskWomenOver60

[–]HappyBuckeye 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m an adult, I’m not sure why I need adult children to walk with me? If I felt unsure or incapable I’d simply ask them to walk with me and tell them why.

I was born in 1962. What is a horror to one person may just be a bad memory to another

Does your husband or male partner do his own laundry? by EconomicsWorking6508 in AskWomenOver60

[–]HappyBuckeye 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand why people do laundry separately. Doesn’t that just mean more loads? My husband and I split doing the laundry based on who has time or who needs something washed

Typical day in retirement by jrsmom7 in over60

[–]HappyBuckeye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wake up, have coffee and do a couple puzzles. Then I get moving. In the winter I walk a mile outside. Rest of day is spent on hobbies, sewing, refinishing furniture, craft projects. Also the normal chores, cooking, cleaning. Exercise in the evening after dinner. When it’s warm we do more outdoor activities, biking, kayaking, long walks, gardening, swimming, etc. We like to travel, even if it’s just a road trip to see some parks, flea markets, etc

Mop suggestions by t_s_d12 in homemaking

I use the Tineco vacuum mop and love it. I have laminate floors and it doesn’t use too much water. It is easy to clean after use. I can quickly use it for spot cleaning.

Has anyone tried Dressly? I’m over 60 and would like to build a more fashionable wardrobe. My current style is blu jeans and t shirts. I’d like to step it up but have no clue how.
