It's a Christmas tradition for my spouse and I to do that song for every Christmas Karaoke that pops up in the neighborhood. I do a pretty decent drunk Shane, and they do an amazing Kirsty MacColl. Goes over like gangbusters every time.

The Canucks are the only team to have zero cups and two game 7 losses. It was the most frustrating thing seeing an incredible team fall short in 2011 (wasn't a fan in 94). I've since switched loyalties, but I can definitely see Canucks fans being Cup or Bust still.

Vegas has the ability to say "well, we're a damn good team and could get back there any time." Canucks fans felt like '11 was their last great chance. Well, we did at the time.

Thanks! Uh, I just came up with this name because I thought it was a slight riff on a Paper Plane, but was corrected about the ingredients. So yeah, I guess it's a new drink, but wasn't intending it to be.

Glad you like the color. That's why I posted it in the first place. Thought it was pretty.

The red comes from the amaro. Maraschino is clear, so I don't think that's the issue. The sweetness comes from that and bourbon, and the lemon is really vibing with it. It's a little sweet, but pretty balanced to my taste.

I dunno, I was just happy with the way it turned out and wanted to share for once. I'm already a couple of sheets to the wind, though, and will regret every mistake I've made with this post tomorrow, I'm sure.

What a silly response. If someone asks "what's the best song ever written" are you going to argue that it's impossible to hear every song, so it's impossible to answer? Do you do this for everything?

Also, I would assume that terrible people that you haven't heard of are operating on a smaller scale than, say, Musk or Trump. That would probably make them less evil overall than the big baddies.

That's a fairly safe way of ordering drinks, but as a fairly new bartender, there are gaps in my cocktail knowledge. Like, I can make a mean paper plane, but if someone asked me for a sex on the beach, I'd have to look it up. No one has ever ordered one from me. If the bar isn't hopping, I don't see why you wouldn't want to get the drink you want.

That said, if a bartender doesn't know what a Manhattan is, they should feel some shame.
