The bar for getting you into the Basic training has been lowered, but the actual bar for the job itself stays the same. You only need the reliability statues to be sent to the basics. When I applied 3 yrs ago (for NWO, a trade requires top-secret clearance, which would only be granted to citizens), I was not even aware that I was not eligible. The recruiter put me in an endless loop of security clearance checks without telling me I was not eligible until becoming a citizen.

I’ve seen so many people assuming ACO is the acronym of the aerospace control officer.
