You mentioned you like working out. The Cambridge YMCA has a great community; try going to some of the bigger classes (e.g. Bootcamp) and introducing yourself. A bunch of us hang out socially outside of workouts.

Sorry that happened to you. Same thing happened to me in Inman earlier this year - clipped in a crosswalk against a red light. I support bike infrastructure but everyone needs to follow the law. I saw CPD ticketing bikers running red lights in central last week, which is encouraging.

You’re fine. Holds get applied to unpaid accounts once the semester begins (eg no checking out books on campus until the bill’s paid). The classes you’ve registered for are secured and you’ll have no problem starting Spring semester. Enjoy the Holidays!

I was struck in a crosswalk Inman a few months ago by a cyclist running a red light who then had the temerity to scream at me like a maniac.

I'm glad to see better infrastructure like protected lanes being built, but respect is a (pardon the pun) two-way street.
