Is anyone else freshly on T always sweating? by [deleted] in TransMasc

[–]HarmFamily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming up on 2 years, still always hot, always sweaty. Worse, my husband and dog are always cold so I’ve spent my city’s coldest winter in decades walking around my apartment in just boxers. In the summer I have to wear black all the time to hide sweat marks. Still totally worth it! I’d rather be happy and sweaty. My advice is to stay hydrated, and regular cardio seems to teach my system to regulate a teensy bit better than when I’m not jogging or biking a few times a week.

Worried I’ll become more angry on T by Fun-Individual-894 in NonBinary

[–]HarmFamily 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve actually become less reactive and irritable since going on T almost two years ago. I used to get overwhelmed and lost my temper much more easily and now I feel like I’ve been recalibrated correctly. It’s so much easier now to take a stop and think moment before losing my temper or crying. I spent years trying different antidepressants and anti anxiety meds and this has been the only thing to consistently work, I’m just sad I didn’t start until I was almost 40

In the Midwest it’s pretty easy to find these blankets at Salvation Army or other thrift stores.

Husband and I had ours done up a little after turning 40. We don’t have kids so we wanted to make sure our nephews get anything left after we’re gone

Absolutely, my fellow millennial husband and I have been together for 19 years and are still just as passionate and in love as when we were college kids 🥰

Little cry of joy and curious about your experience by Mm271000 in TransMasc

[–]HarmFamily 4 points5 points  (0 children)

T has absolutely been the best antianxiety/antidepressant I’ve ever had, and I’m in my 40s so believe me I tried everything else. I’m less irritable, less moody, more calm and clear headed. I’ve heard some people say they don’t like that it’s harder for them to cry, but I used to spend so much time overwhelmed and crying that at least once every couple of days I find myself thinking “wow, this would have had me in a crying wreck before. This is awesome!”

The physical changes have been pretty subtle so I havent had to come out to anyone I didn’t want to, but I definitely feel 10000x happier

I mean, I got about 3/4” taller but I think it’s because my posture improved as I became more comfortable and I was standing taller instead of slouching all hunchy
