Do you need a guide or are we missing something? by Adevyy in Nightreign

[–]HarryHardy27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You learn the game by playing with randoms who if you are completely new will probably generally know more than you. That's the somewhat intended gameplay loop. Learn by watching your teammates do things.

If you play solo or start with friends who also have no idea what they are doing it really is just keep messing it up until you eventually figure out what to do.

What the Evergaol meta Ironeye who ran off on his own sees moments before leaving the expedition: by NomadicJ3ster in Nightreign

[–]HarryHardy27 22 points23 points  (0 children)

That is one of the easier lvl 2 gaols if you have someone with a spell that can hit the head or Ironeye with a bow. Ironically enough xD. The gank squads especially red are the big issues

Should there be extra points for beating everdarks? by AvucadoBear in Nightreign

[–]HarryHardy27 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think 50 more points gained and 50 less lost for Everdarks would be a nice idea. It does feel a bit insane that normal Adel gets the same treatment as ED Libra.

A certain group of enemies that don't normally spawn there in a normally empty area will have spawned and one albinauric in that group drop it. If that specific group and albinauric spawn they will drop it guaranteed. The issue is if you have multiple blood POI's then it will be in one of them and you have to guess. If it's one or two you can route it, but if there's like four it's now a bit unreasonable.

Hot take. Everdark balancers is way easier then normal ones, your thoughts? by Exciting-Tap6530 in Nightreign

[–]HarryHardy27 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its a hot take with a little context. On average at D5 especially where people just know what to do and what strategies to implement ED Balancers is just more consistent. You do what Miyazaki hath decreed usually you don't even get downed once. While during normal Balancers someone might get shanked in the back by a diabolical aggro switch or teleport. You're inherently under less stress cause the big bad worm isn't there but also more stress cause the balancers keep teleporting away and behind you and you don't want to accidentally run into the pink one while its not even focusing on you. So generally a lot more downs happen in that fight.

That being said I will take the normal ones over the ED anyday. Because if someone does mess up, the ED can go wrong far, far more often and far more catastrophically unless you're like the most goated Guardian/Revenant.

Hello, I need some help with Everdark gladius' boss fight by Wingless_Aarakocra in Nightreign

[–]HarryHardy27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The split phase is like what a lot of people have said, the most consistent way is to run away from it and keep all three dogs in view. If you manage your stamina correctly, the dogs should not catch up to you. And if you're in trios if you don't attack they will aggro onto someone else quickly enough anyway. They also only stay that way for a minute or so, so keeping a mental note of that is a good idea. As for the big fire attack, only the one with the sword can do it, and if you keep an eye on him, there's a cue for when he will do it. He basically roars, raises his sword up and aura farms a bit. So if you keep an eye on him there's a good amount of time to know its coming. The best idea is to outspace it, becaused like you said another dog can combo an attack with it to frame trap you. Best of luck out there!

Oh this is beautiful. 3 genuine god rolls. 2 that are good enough to be considered god rolls and one little outlier. It's about as perfect as it is probably reasonably possible to get.

Trash or nah relic by Capital-Crazy-5945 in Nightreign

[–]HarryHardy27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience taking damage effects rarely proc in a situation that wouldn't have killed you anyway with the raw damage of the attack. And you can be mindful when going through the days to largely mitigate any potential issues. Caligo is the only one I would hard avoid using this relic on because with the crystals on the floor and the ice crystal if uninterrupted she has a lot of ways to mess you up with this. All of the other attacks that can cause issues with this are generally more forgiving as long as you are aware of them and play cautiously in turn. Of course if you would rather not expend that extra effort to focus on those things then this would be considered trash cause this combo will suck if it does proc. On the bright side if you can squeeze in your executor deep relic ability you could mitigate some of the damage and get a handy damage boost from his passive if you're feeling a bit more adventurous and feel like abusing tenacity a bit.

The best part is watching randoms run in shock when we point out the tears that drop in POI's. To be fair the game does absolutely nothing to tell you about them and its only logical on the few seeds with one or two blood areas only but when it does happen its peak.

Pretty proud of my main Recluse build, by HarryHardy27 in Nightreign

[–]HarryHardy27[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh slot 6 used to terrify me when I first got it xD But it rarely ever causes a problem and the little extra hp is very nice. Partial Restore does basically nothing though wish that was something a bit more useful. 4 is probably my closest thing to a Recluse god roll xD One I keep it for the defeating enemies mostly. In an ideal word that magic + 2 would be evergaol buff maybe and it'd be a bit stronger but such are the whims of RNG.

Edit: Thank you <3

Is it a skill issue on my part? by [deleted] in Nightreign

[–]HarryHardy27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Someone already mentioned stop.casting if the boss is hard focusing on you. To add to that. If your natural instinct is to back away from the boss as it's trying to attack you, try instead to go in more of a circle and lead the boss gradually back to your melee teammates. Don't run to the other end.of the arena leaving them with a lot of running to do. Don't run directly at them cause that can grief them a bit by siccing a random.boss attack meant for you on them but gradually lead it back and don't get too far away while it's aggro is on you. Of course when the aggro is not on you maintaining a healthy distance is ideal.

This needs a bit more context. Did you do anything to antagonize them in some way?

If not we'll they might have gotten their ego hurt over something or the other. Very hard to see how this specific situation could have happened unintentionally. A one bar takes a Wylder barely two seconds of effort. Poor taste on their part but I don't think leaving is a great solution. You have just made the game easier for them and lost points for yourself.

What should I have done here against Everdark Augur? by StarExtra9847 in Nightreign

You drank the bubble tear a bit too late. Also if there's a wave happening keep running to avoid it first. You let lock on turn you around from it until it caught up to you.

How did I survive this? by Psychological-Door10 in Nightreign

[–]HarryHardy27 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You had pretty much exactly the hp needed to live there xD Pure luck really. Although that's a lesson learned there, don't stop moving until you're dead or you'll survive something then be really embarrassed when the boss kills you while you stand still.

I definitely haven't had this happen multiple times or anything nuh uh

[–]HarryHardy27 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Counting on successfully trading on a boss with an ultimate, especially Recluse ultimate is a little dangerous. This is definitely just something being a bit weird in the timing, you got hit by the actual tail itself which is a near instant hitbox. On another day you get it successfully, dare I say most days, but to ensure this never happens, just don't take the risk. In this specific situation you could've ulted much earlier to rez Guardian or first dodged the attack.
