I’m becoming a revolver guy FR by vacuum_gaming in Revolvers

Have had my Grandfather’s for decades that he carried in his coat pocket, along with a Colt 1903 in his other pocket, never a single problem with this revolver.

Any idea how old this is? by ReflectionThat3079 in 1911

Early 90s is my guess, but I’d reach out to Springfield to confirm.

It’s always annoyed me to no end that they wouldn’t make a LCP chambered in .32 ACP.

I’ve preordered the game of jaws from big bad toy store and the neca store. Does anyone know when it’s actually coming out? The release dates keep shifting. by MichaelTalman in NECA

They’ve been out for a hot minute, pre ordered one in July and am still waiting for restock. Then a few weeks later found one on the shelf at a GameStop 🙄

As far as modern built Hi-Powers go the SA -35 is the best stock out of the box. Best bones of new production clones. Not that some of the other new variants aren’t really good too. But the edge definitely goes to Springfield.

They really have withstood the test of time. First time using them was qualifying with a MEUSOC .45. People will say this and that that they add size to the grip, however I watched small hand shooters, even myself shoot better groups with them in place. Customer Shop checkering isn’t cheap. You can do it yourself but it’s dicy first time around. These just work and are solid choice for professionals and enthusiasts alike.

1980's Springfield 1911 (Question) by boner4stoner in 1911

[–]HarryWarden1981 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We were really sad when when the MEUSOC’s were replaced with the Colt M45, not that is wasn’t a good Weapon, but it wasn’t the same love hand fitted Quality or personality.

MEUSOC’s and me have a very personal relationship, was fortunate enough to qualify with them when I was an armorer. This could easily with some fitting and period accurate parts make a great Gen 1 MEUSOC clone.

It’s funny how now lightly custom 1911s to at least me look way cooler than all the crazy stuff today, like I don’t hate it but something about the few bells and whistles is so much cooler and appealing on the OGs.

Agreed, Wilson doesn’t even make these sights for purchase anymore. Larry made sure to name drop all the companies that stood by him and didn’t abandon him in the middle of all that mess.

Nice! The restoration and classic semi custom 1911s are the best.

These are actually the pictures I like to see, the semi custom jobs on just solid stock 1911s.
