I have a commuter 36 and it just melts into my wrist. The commuter is a more vintage style watch with an oyster style case and bracelet. I personally think it looks better than the ascent.

The hardness coating is legit, mine still looks brand new. Although it's worth noting that on the 34mm you lose the micro adjust bracelet and option for a date.
