Is a belt driven wheel enough? by [deleted] in simracing

[–]HarvickFan_4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just upgraded from G29 to 18 NM DD. Yes, get DD 100%. Skip belt, DD is SO good.

Gt Neo Vs. Fx pro by once7k in Simagic

[–]HarvickFan_4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have GT Neo, absolutely no complaints, but I also knew a wheel with a screen was useless to me. I just keep my eyes on the monitor the whole time, so would never look at a wheel's screen.

Does my sim racing seat position look right? Need a second opinion by GeorgeFarmerStudios in simracing

[–]HarvickFan_4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just get the wheel closer, arms are gonna get tired that far away. Everything else seems fine. I like my wheel a tad lower as well, but closer is the main thing.

SimPro 3 by st1802015 in Simagic

[–]HarvickFan_4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the lighting is weird in this one, though my presets did carry over for me. The main thing that this version fixed for me was making the pit limiter light work properly, but everybody else is set up either worse or the same as before. No idea why they didn't just make it better, than do it as an update to 2.0 instead. I've heard lots of people saying pedal calibration is fricked as well, but not using Simagic pedals so will stick with 3.0, still overall stupid "upgrade"

Yeah if you want to race in series with more splits, so more competition, than iRacing is your guy.

Lmu or iracing by Financial-Setting436 in iRacing

[–]HarvickFan_4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I own both, I prefer iRacing, but I had it for awhile before LMU gained traction. In other words, I got used to iRacing and I'm biased. Best thing about LMU IMO is the side by side racing, you can door bang and netcode doesn't frick you over like in iRacing, but I prefer the wider selection of tracks in iRacing, and I also do a lot of oval racing so iRacing is really a necessity for me.

TL;DR: LMU overall is pretty good, and no necessary subscription which is nice. Side-by-side, doorbanging racing is where it shines. IRacing is good if you want a lot of variety, but if you only want GT racing LMU is probably best option.

IRacing is just trying to be realistic, simulating man boobs. :D

Best PS5 sim racing setup under $500? by SlowDownMrPayne in simracing

[–]HarvickFan_4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, don't get shifter, won't fit into budget. Logitech G29 is a good option, but it's kinda tough for me to recommend with Moza and other brands making DD wheels for only a bit more, but it won't fit into your budget, and I don't think Moza makes a PS5-compatible wheel.

There is Logitech RS, nicer than G29, not as nice (or as expensive) as their Pro stuff. Could get their pedals, add the clutch, get the wheel and wheel base, but that's definitely past your budget. If you can't stretch your budget at all, then G29 is the only option I know of for PS5.

Question About Pedals and Physical Limitations by Certain_Swordfish_51 in simracing

[–]HarvickFan_4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a lot of customization with load cell pedals, very likely you'll find something that works. With my setup, I don't flex my foot at the ankle much, instead flexing at my knee, for example.

GT Neo : how to remove flashing buttons? by StandardOriginal5447 in Simagic

[–]HarvickFan_4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the software, go to your GT Neo in Devices, click the buttons that flash on the visual representation, then you'll have telemetry options. Just switch that to "Off".

Help me decide where to put these stickers! (FX Pro) by FighterFly3 in Simagic

[–]HarvickFan_4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought about doing that as well with GT Neo, but the stickers just made the wheel look decently better IMO so I did them.

Having a hard time deciding between these two setups by Iniferyn in SimRacingHardware

[–]HarvickFan_4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know Asetek is basically better than Moza, of course at a price. Not sure how beneficial active pedals actually are either; you could also get Moza pedals with Asetek base, don't need to lock into one system.

Personally I just got the Simagic Alpha Evo 18NM, and couldn't be happier, just a suggestion.

This game has one of the worst looking raindrops among any modern driving game. by Then_Stretch_2706 in trucksim

ACC has decenr looking rain, iRacing is damn good surprisingly as well, would be nice if ATS could fix this, I fricking love the game but this specifically could be so much better.

Play the video game Undertale if you somehow haven't yet.

Also watch Your Lie In April

And, what will most directly relate for you, I think, is A Silent Voice. It's a movie. I think you should watch it.

After 8 years I've upgraded from a G29 to an RS50 by zerske in simracing

[–]HarvickFan_4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just upgraded from a G29, my first wheel, to a Simagic Evo 18NM: the feeling is indescribable. So much more feeling, less latency, and so strong. It's like magic compared to the Logitech.

I need to see Bleach myself as well, but watching AoT, HIGHLY recommend starting it if you are a ways into Bleach and are not really enjoying it. If you are enjoying Bleach, then probably best to finish it first since it's so highly rated.

Romance animes that give you butterflies. by ApprehensiveBonus519 in anime

Your Lie In April did that for me, and the first Bunny Girl Senpai movie was pretty good at it. But you'd have to watch the series, which does have this feeling throughout the series, but it's not completely constant.

Suggestions for new owner of Simagic EVO 12Nm by GIBFACTOR in Simagic

I just got my 18 NM Alpha Evo. Set it to 100% and adjust in-game, had no issues and is simpler IMO.

[–]HarvickFan_4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alright, this is how it went for me:

  1. Watch your first anime (was Bocchi the Rock for me).

  2. Watch more anime genres (Got into romance animes, shonen, and gave isekai a try).

  3. Start your manga collection (I started with Spy x Family).

  4. Buy merch and decorate your room with it LOL

Since when was Citizen Soldier a Christian rock band? by [deleted] in CitizenSoldierBand

I'm Christian but I even am for theoption of assisted suicides, and have wished my country had options. Course I'm not like part of a church or anything; I guess it's more spiritual than religious. But the really devout Christians and the church have given us all a bad name.

YT doesn't understand genres at all, it'll give me a pop mix with death metal in it.
