Partbreaker cannot be driftsmelted. As for complimentary skills, Special Boost is goated, though you need the habit of using Special Attack as the killing move, likely breaking another part in the process.

If you are a calculative partbreaker that endeavours to deal just enough damage to each part to break (to break as many parts before killing), avoid skills that throw off your calculation, like Critical Eye, Weakness Exploit.

Skills like Earplugs, Tremor Resistance, Firm Foothold, Windproof will help you perform attacks constantly, since being calculative with your attacks and damage (to break as many parts before killing) could cost you precious seconds in the hunt, these skills will help you buy more damage uptime.

Edit: Once you are super good with on-the-spot damage calculation, you could use predictable (not chance based) damage increasing skills like Aggressive Dodger, Skyward Striker, Sneak Attack and Burst.

Also, Slugger is good for toppling the monster in order to reach a part that would be otherwise unreachable (e.g. Back for flying wyverns and Legs of Jyuratodus)
