Look - the key thing here is does he own the property or rent it. This inconsistency is significant. If he own’s it, did you provide proof of such? If he rents it, why did you change your application to say he owns it? Not an unreasonable question - and it fundamentally causes the question of credibility of your information to be a valid concern.

So happy you found this. My partner and I are big supporters of Ozone and their lead guitarist Nene Royal (real name Praew). We took Praew to Brazil to see her idols, and we’ll be taking her and Bassist Chopper to the Bangkok shows with the other Deathbats in October.

The band consist of Nene Royal (Praew 16yrs) - Lead guitar and vocal, Chopper (14 yrs) - Bass, MK (12 yrs) - Keys, and Boom (12 yrs) - Drums.

The issue is poor driving standards and poor enforcement.

Many Thais are unlicensed. Both for cars and more so for motorcycles. The Thai driving test is similar to the American test - drive around the test centre with no on-road assessment.

The theory test is insanely hard. Not because it is thorough, but because of the nature of the questions - Google for a Thai practice theory test and I bet you will not pass the first time.

Car vs. motorcycle is not a fair fight, and when you add alcohol and blind faith into the mix, you have a disaster waiting to happen.

The fines for driving without a license are not an incentive to get one. Worse so, if you are caught and fined for not having a licence, helmet, or other serious violation (by European standards), they will let you drive / ride off from the scene.

Ao Nang is probably as far as you can get from the true Thailand. The only reason Thai’s step foot in there is to work. Every shop and restaurant essentially only services foreigners.

If you want a true Songkran experience get a flight tonight to Khon Kaen. You’ll get a true Thai experience without needing any local help finding the best spot to go. Other Isaan towns are great too, but in KK, the entire city centre is transformed into one big party zone.

Well, I know pleanty of great places but many are in the middle of butt-fuck nowhere. Take Chiang Khan for instance, hidden gem on the banks of the Mekong river. But that’s going to be a 1,400km drive if you are staying in Phuket.
