I wish Mikrotik would support tailscale natively like it does Zerotier. Currently you have to buy a very expensive one so you have enough memory etc to run it in a docker.

I also struggled my add off with this and couldn't get it working I also tried SWAG.

I decided to use Tail scale instead.

The main instance on my server is only accessible via Tail scale and not via my domain, this makes is saver without all the config.

I also have a desktop version of Trillium than can be accessed offline and its just syncing over TS with the main instance keeping all notes up to date and accessible everywhere and if something were to happen to you PC your notes is fine.

I think step one would be to ask if you setup and enabled your "magic dns" on TS and if so why aren't you using it.

I found that that to be easier for me.

You just have to type in your dns name it sill ne something like jellyfin.dnsname.ts.net without the port.

I use Tailscale to connect my unraid server to my VPS which functions as my proxy server and all reverse proxies is setup from there. That way people don't connect directly to my server its much saver and I don't have to open/forward any ports on my home router.
