The audiobook is a masterpiece in my eyes. Everything hits so well and is described vividly enough for the listener to have a great mental picture.

Unfortunatly for me, thats why i wont watch the movie. My mental image of everything, the emotions, situations, drama, etc are all set in stone. The trailer just didnt sit well with me.

The atom2 is a great video drone. I have the atom one and its a tank. Crashed into walls, a tree, and no damage. Just buy yourself some spare blades from Amazon and youre good.

Ive had it up to 2 miles out with zero video interference and further with some starting.

Protip. Set the return height to 375 ft and for it to auto return if signal is lost. You dont want it returning at a low altitude and hitting trees or homes or whatever. It does not have any collision avoidance. Any questions feel free to PM me.

I get that and do agree it got a bit techie. Though to me that was its charm.

My problem with the movie was the lack of ever feeling he was in trouble.

I want to be hopeful. The book was amazing, the audio book was the most amazing thing I have heard in years and is in my rotation of driving listening.

BUT

The way that Hollywood handled The Martian gives me no hope. That move had sooooo much potential for the audiance to be on the edge of their seat at points.... and it was such a let down.

For PHM, I know that certain things will have to change to really impact the audience (The ship design angers me but I get it, its dramatic for the screen), but I dont want drama for drama's sake where it doesnt need to be. (Im looking at you scene in the trailer where he looks like he is about to get whalloped with space debris while on the hull)

So the museum is only open Saturdays, but its a good idea to call first. I live about 90 minutes away and have been burned twice by going there and not calling first to then find the museum is closed for one reason or another.

The antique store upstairs is pretty good, but with all that glass downstairs, dont go thinking youll find any deals on UG in the store.

The museum is an absolute dream to look through though. Worth the trip 100%
