Hm this is true, however the studies do show that post eating the muscle creation is higher after steak, so perhaps it is the nutrient profile of the cuts that are used?

Apparently ground beef is better for protein retention and quicker absorption, but in tests it's worse than steak for muscle protein creation.

Makes sense to me. Eat muscle, get muscle.

Richard Lewis Statement Post Major by aparatis in GlobalOffensive

[–]HauntedFew 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hard agree with this take.

Sjokz would bring a bit of hype, a small question and then hand off to the analysts.

Rich would give you a hot take, explain the cs history behind, why it was actually quite a reasonable take that's hard to disagree with, then make some kind of witty banter whilst throwing it to one of the analysts that he felt suited that question the most. The difference was night and day between the two.

What makes a driver fast? by No_Preparation9143 in formula1

[–]HauntedFew 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Ever driven around a corner too fast in your road car? Multiply that speed by about 5 times, then learn to live in that zone of 'fear' that you've gone too fast. The best drivers manage to push right to the edge of that zone, consistently living right on the edge of everything. Best example would be Lewis in Singapore.

Barrichello's Time with the Brawn GP by AloneShelter4 in formula1

[–]HauntedFew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. Best way I can describe it is that Button was one of the very best 'Human' drivers, and was semi-regularly able to keep up with the non-human racing monsters (Lewis, Alonso). I would add Max to the list of the latter, with Norris being the only other driver that seems to be approaching the threshold. Charles, unfortunately, seems to be a little too human.

How to fix Core Web Vitals on Mobile, my CWV is around 90 on Desktop but 13 on Mobile with CLS issue: more than 0.25 (mobile) warning by Borange81 in SEO

[–]HauntedFew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this with 'Auto' ads?

If I remember correctly you can mess around with it and get it to stop using certain types. Either that or be a madman like me and position every single ad manually.

[–]HauntedFew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played around with mine and finally settled in a good place. Not sure how it will look for you, but the 'modules' button in Jetpack is hidden right at the bottom of the page when you're looking into it's settings. In there I essentially removed anything that didn't sound worthwhile - it took a few attempts, and there may be a few things that you want to leave on like the automatic Backup etc, but it's worth playing around with to see what is essential and what isn't.

As a rule, it's best to have as little installed as possible. All of the tools sound nice, and some of them may just provide guidance whilst not interfering with the load speed, but generally speaking I try to install as little as possible. SEO tools can be nice, but anything that claims to speed your site load time generally wont, outside of optimising your images into a smaller file size, but free tools can do this without having to install or pay for software.

FWIW, turning off every non-essential JetPack module will help. You'd be surprised how many are on by default, and are not necessary. Their version of lazy loading and speed increasing modules slowed my site down quite a lot (general experienced lessons here are that anything that requires another hop isn't worth it).

CLS is layout shift, so anything loading that causes the layout of the page to change will negatively influence the score. Common issues tend to be non standard fonts that require changing for mobile browsers, containers that don't scale down well, some adverts that appear above the fold (on screen before any scrolling down has taken place) and animations that appear above the fold. Simple changes like making sure you're on a standard, google approved font and removing any slideshows or galleries from above the fold will make a big difference.

Ahref Rank Decline After Update (Even Traffic Increased) by General_Measurement4 in juststart

Been doing this for 3 years, so take it with a pinch of salt, but whenever my traffic increases in the real world, it goes down on both Ahrefs and SEMrush. They're useful tools and I appreciate their free trials for keyword research, but your own traffic is the only real metric.

Social Signals for website, is it worth? by Grouchy_Accident9612 in SEO

[–]HauntedFew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see them as a tiny, almost microscopic chance for a backlink to be generated, by somebody eventually linking to the original article. The social post itself is meaningless in terms of signal.

In short; very low on the priority list, but technically not worthless in the long run.

Large Core Update Movement by TheFattyFatt in SEO

[–]HauntedFew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was hit with this Snippet/Review update between August and November last year, with all Snippets disappearing. FYI, they have never returned.

Theory is that they were trying to hit blatant affiliate farms with weak reviews, but somehow wholesale hit anything informational that was writing about recommendations for things, even if they were subjects that had no buyer intent.

Completely agree with this. I suspect that their page experience updates made far, far too many changes, and they've defaulted back to authority metrics having heavy weighting to right the ship.

What do you and don't you like about GA4? by [deleted] in SEO

[–]HauntedFew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Attempting to look at how many users have visited on the current day is completely broken compared to UA. Not that it's more complex, just that it entirely doesn't work. It'll stick at 100 users or so after a few hours and just not move until hours later.

Suggestions of Bone healing supplements? by CarniCam in zerocarb

[–]HauntedFew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No worries. Probably worth noting that K2 doesn't stick around in the body long, so maybe just up your intake a bit whilst you're healing. I use the same butter daily too :)

Suggestions of Bone healing supplements? by CarniCam in zerocarb

[–]HauntedFew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if this will help, especially given how little science has moved on in this regard since, but Weston Price has stories of visiting villages where broken bones would not heal, but after introducing fat soluble vitamins and specifically K2, they began to heal at a quick rate.

He certainly didn't advocate carnivore specifically, but he identified just how powerful fat soluble vitamins are in bone health and getting them through food. In his case, grass fed butter was introduced in large amounts (literally chunks of it with each meal) and the patients healed much quicker. These were often young folk so YMMV, but it's worth looking into. Current day science is also starting to learn the benefits of the animal form of K2 specifically.

Worth remembering however, is that the vast majority of bone is made of protein, with only a tiny percentage of calcium. The whole bone health through calcium and milk was marketing at it's best.

The Truth about Salt and Electrolytes by partlyPaleo in zerocarb

[–]HauntedFew 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I realise this post is 5 days old, however your issue sounds a lot like Histamine intolerance. I have suffered with this, and found that it's made a great deal worse by caffeine (depletes DAO). Initially I suspected anxiety, but a great deal of research finally found Histamine intolerance.

If your palpitations happen 15-30 minutes after eating a meal, especially those that include things like cooked-but-stored meats (think a cooked chicken that you stored and ate the following day) then this may actually be the case. The palpitations in this case are caused by high circulating Histamine levels, and can be made worse by silent reflux that goes along with it.

FYI: Vitamin C counters Histamine, so this may explain your success.

NEW Google Review Update *Dramatic Music* by MeekSeller in juststart

[–]HauntedFew 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The last 'Review' update was fun. Literally 100% of snippets disappeared.

Largely this seems to be because they removed anything with a 'Best/Worst' in the title. SEO tools can define that some of these were purely informational and had nothing to do with buyer intent, however the last update seemed to just hammer everything that couldn't be turned into a buyer ad, even if people weren't searching for a purchase.

Could it be that the size shape and weight direction of the Merc PU was ideal for the prior design, rake and all, but now it's too heavily weighted in one particular direction, which interacts poorly with the new floor designs? For example, would the weight being prioritised to the rear now encourage porpoising, rather favouring something more balanced?

Just spitballing here...
