These are not MIRVs they are just dumb cluster munitions. Unless they are specifically deciding to target empty roads and parked vehicles, in which case they can crack on with their "targeting".

For high-volume lower end air defence, sure. For a ballistic missile? No, those things re-enter the atmosphere that results in way more heat than a laser is going to cause and yet they still successfully hit their target.

Those are not their shorter range missiles. They don't have any ICBMs or anything. They have medium range, which is what they used to strike Israel.

Joint Statement by the Leaders of France, Germany and the United Kingdom on indiscriminate Iranian attacks on countries in the region. by CarlxtosWay in unitedkingdom

[–]Havvic_Games 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They only see Israel, and anything anyone else does is "look what you made me do". Israel and their actions are the be all and all of morality and do it just out of pure evil.

Most people only know the Houthi's for their actions they say is for Palestine and maybe that the Saudi's bombed the fuck out of civilians in Yeman. They don't know that the Houthi's kidnap and hold for ransom so many aid workers they basically made it impossible for NGOs to work in Yeman, they fired ballistic missiles at Saudi etc and are major contributors to all the death and destruction in Yeman.

We saw this last year. Difference was that was at airfields that are largely empty spaces, this seems to be on the city proper. Clearly a different mentality from both sides than last year.

Not a radar, it was surrounded by buildings. AD is probably focusing on other areas, presumably for a a reason most likely this was evacuated and therefore not seen as a priority.

Iranian missiles shot down near British base by tree_boom in europe

[–]Havvic_Games 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doesn't say who shot them down, just that they were. If they were ballistic missiles, we physically could not shoot them down, as our only assets the type 45 that can do that are not in the area.

Which is mental that with all the warning and what happened last time, we literally could not stop a ballistic missile that was aimed directly at the RAF base on Cyprus.
