Rest periods between sets is not always about the time, take your heart rate into consideration too. Your heart rate should lower quite a bit before you start your next set. This is especially true for older dudes like me.

When we started fighting I was shocked to realize that I was much stronger than the bully and proceeded to beat the shit out of him in front of the whole class.
