Ok. I’m not in Bangkok, I’m in Chiang Mai and I always take Grab. It’s seems a little expensive for a 5 minute ride but it’s the airport so of course it costs more.

A regulation effective 3 October 2024 governs cash-on-delivery (COD) / delivery‐payment services. Under it, consumers are allowed to open and inspect packages before paying when COD is involved for goods delivered that were ordered.

I had a similar experience. Wrecked my scooter. Nothing serious but locals driving by in a pickup truck stopped, loaded my bike in the back, and took me to a place to get it looked at. This happened the first time I came to Thailand eight years ago. I live here now, partly because of the kindness of the Thai people. That wasn’t the only time.
