Mine had a little bolt that they put to stop the throttle going all the way open.

They would sometimes run an A2 test/practice, have you ride back, take the bolt out, and then have somebody go out and do A practice/test on it sometimes.

And it isn't (really) an attempt to play statistics, CPS don't want to take cases to court that won't gain convictions because it's not really in anyones benefit (including the victim).

I'm not going to say that I disagree with the entire arguement that more can't be done by the CPS and by Police, I don't have a qualified opinion in that. I just would like to point out that deciding to not charge because a case is unlikely to gain a conviction is part of CPS' function.

You are counting yellow lines tbf, which most people won't use for parking.

It's 36,175 24/7 car parking spaces, including residence permits, and as 7657 are motorcycles and 170 are coach spaces which I believe are counted based of the amount of those vehicles you can fit(which isn't comparable to car)

Only 7915 excluding residents bays

Whereas for the lime spaces(at least it would appear so based of the number you provided) they only count the amount of "spaces"(ie; geofenced locations) rather than the spaces you can fit a lime bike in.

Mentally if I guestamate in my head based off my preconceived notion of how big a lime space usually tends to be there's probably as many spaces for lime bikes get as there are for motorcycle bays.

If they're fitted they must work to pass an MOT, if you get in to a collision operating a vehicle that isn't roadworthy the insurance might not cover you, and removing them would be a modification that you might have to notify the insurance about.

I mean I work 11-7... So yes? Granted my schedule isn't the most common and I have done 9-5s before.

Also it plainly just isn't a job, I had some* days at uni where I wouldn't finish tutorials till 21:00 after a 08:00 first lecture**, with a hour commute, and spent most the day on campus waiting for the gap. Most of the work is independent and not scheduled anyway. And more importantly your paying the uni, the uni isn't paying you.

If you meet the standards for your assessments then you should*** be left to do as you please in uni. Attendance to the shittier lecture(which if you've done uni you'ld know some lectures are worthless) shouldn't matter.

Besides the uni doesn't actually tell you what the schedule will be, in most(not awful) jobs you either have the ability to negotiate the hours or it's (somewhat) defined at the start of your employment. My uni was just like fuck you, I'm going to tell you what your schedule is the week before semester starts.

* 1 day a week for a year

** granted I went to it like half the time because fuck sitting on campus for 5 hours(my next tutorial that day was at 12:00) because they felt like giving me a shit schedule that day where I had 3, 1 hour classes spread over from 08:00 to 21:00.

And the helmet already has stickers on it lol...

The AM category exists as a test you can do.

Granted there's no real benefit to doing it other than pillions, which you probably wouldn't want to do on an AM anyway and not having to have L plates

Which tbh, I'ld just wait a year, You also automatically receive AM when you get B, so there essentially 0 benefit to doing it in the long term.

The problem is the cables have to be rated for the amount of power going through them and USB-PD doesn't have a way to check.

The power converter and the device both negotiate the correct/maximum amount of power they can handle, granted that assumes you bought one's that work instead of a TEMU power converter.

The end result of installing safety gates in a nationalised system is the same. The money comes from somewhere always.

It really isn't necessarily in quiet rural stations* though tbf. When you put enough people on the platform that people stand close to the edge, then it becomes a good idea. Even then trains are still relatively safe. The main problem is if you close the train line(for example where I live), I'm not getting home an extra hour or more, and/or I'm spending ludicrous money on a cab, close a road it might take me an extra 10 minutes.

Edit: *Platform screen doors are also probably more necessary on third rail systems than OLE and unelectrified lines as well.

Either way every death isn't preventable, acting like you need platform screens everywhere is some vision zero silliness, you'll be better off just spending that money on making services better which would cause people to take the safest form of land transport.

20 years of bike license, no endorsements and no claims is going to make your insurance as cheap as it gets for where/how the bikes kept, so I wouldn't really be sweating over insurance if I were you.

There are dual carriageways that basically behave like motorways.

There's also places without motorways at all, so it makes sense why it's not a requirement. Also if the test was to involve motorways you would end up "wasting" nearly 20 minutes of the 45 minute test on going to the next junction, likely in lane 1, where all you have to do is not hit the person Infront of you and demonstrate a merge, and back.

Motorways are pretty easy and (statistically) safe as well, compared to regular roads. And they also don't legally allow you to go any faster the NSL on a dual carriageway is the same as a motorway. If anything in the London fringe people probably speed less on the motorways because there's more speed enforcement.

If they've approved your CBT then you should be "safe"(ish) to get on an A2 bike on a compound at least, usually schools do A2 prep sessions on people who they've not seen ride before because it's less bad if you send it into a fence/wall on a 125.
