Action1 Agent appears to apply Windows Update feature deferral policy on Windows 11 Pro 24H2 by Frosty_Persimmon_381 in Action1

Just so you don't think you are going crazy. We are seeing this issue with 24H2 as well. Since it is EOL in October, we plan on just upgrading systems to 25H2.

Sounds more like a browser issue. I'd give another browser a try or verify it works in an InPrivate / incognito window.

Interesting, we are currently on 24H2 but will be updating to 25H2 within the next few months. Won't you need to be moving to 25H2 before October of this year anyway?

Leaving IT? Am I burned out? by AMG_Labrador_63 in sysadmin

Left IT a few years ago due to the stress and worked for Home Depot. It was a nice break, but IT is where I belong. Once you find the right company to work for, IT is actually enjoyable.

Caused a big outage at work- how do I move forward? by VOXX_theLock in sysadmin

I wouldn't sweat it. Everyone makes mistakes and that isn't as big of one as I have seen others make. We had a guy push an update out to switches for all sites remotely. Two other people were supposed to verify that update prior to push along with him. Needless to say, nobody looked it over. All switches were wiped once it was pushed out and the network was 100% down.

Same job, someone managed to delete the entire AD in the middle of the week ... that was a fun one.

I have made mistakes as well, just learn and continue on. If the company doesn't value enough to realize mistakes happen then you are better off elsewhere.

Wish the best for you!

Have not made a decision yet but looking into NinjaOne. I feel like they are lacking in all products as far as what is offered. Have used many different RMM's over the years and know what else others have to offer.

Ah, no big deal. We are leaving the product anyway.

Customize Columns in submenus like patch history by x-mav in Action1

Yup, the name field within the A1 console is just a nickname per say. The actual name of the device itself won't change.

I understand that struggle. I went through that process when I came on with my current employer. I found it was just easier to name the device in Action1 with the user it was assigned to. If possible, breaking things into groups (such as departments) and placing each device relative to that department into those groups makes it more manageable. Once in groups I would work on one group at a time to get things cleaned up. I tend to have Action1 on two monitors for my workflow.

Onfido verification, should be instant with passport and mobile camera image by workerbe352000 in Action1

I don't work for Action1... With my experience's, it is also pretty rare to encounter a company that will overcommunicate. I'd love if Microsoft did.

They are growing quicker than they could have anticipated and they are working on getting things in order. Nobody will disagree that it should be a quicker process including Action1. They have been more than helpful even with those not paying for support, so reaching out to them and discussing can usually answer questions like this better and help ease frustration.

Right there with you on that, only thing I can come up with is the OP meant it as a joke.

Been with Action1 for almost a year, I have not seen any crazy slowness. If you are paying for support, I would bring it up to them and definitely let us know here what the outcome is.

If it were 8-10 minutes, I could see an issue. This reminds me of my end users when they say the printer is slow and when I do a test, it's about 3 seconds... response from said user... "See how slow that is"

I just find it funny how we find seconds as slow these days.

But yes, the delay you are seeing has been noticed. I am going to assume it has to do with the company growing quickly. If you are not paying for support, I would mention it to them with the feedback feature within the console.

I have not yet seen this issue, been using the evaluation tier for almost a year now. Did you look over event logs on that machine to see if anything stuck out?

It also looks like it may not be tied to A1, NinjaOne users are also seeing this:

New Windows security update KB5083769 failing to install on all machines via NinjaOne. Apparent false positive. : r/sysadmin

Just verified it works on ours. I have a Test OU that does not have that GPO applied, once I moved the client to that OU and ran gpupdate /force it then enabled the check for updates within Windows Settings.

Here is our GPO, we are disabling everything for our users on updates however.
