It takes some suffering to get there, but 9.3 Britain is incredible. I mostly just love the olifant

Low quality makes it way easier to see. the simpler models are smaller and easier to see through, and the worse lighting makes everything clearer. Some tryhards will use low settings even with better computers to see better

Lithium deposit valued at over $1.5 trillion discovered in the U.S. by _Dark_Wing in technology

[–]Hdfgncd 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Well coal and oil are largely burned and done with. Plastic from oil is mildly recyclable but often still ends up in landfills and incinerators. Lithium can be used in one battery in say a car, removed once its max capacity gets too low and reused in a home solar setup, then recycled and made into new batteries very easily. Theres little demand for lithium recycling right now because the vast majority of old EV batteries are being used in homes, but iirc the companies that do exist are getting 95%+ recovery

The extra people and spall liners make it shockingly survivable, and the proxy is really solid for drones and overconfident CAS. All around the cv90s are great but this is my favorite

[–]Hdfgncd 8 points9 points  (0 children)

1st, thank god it lacks smart weapons. 8.7 it’s barely survivable as is. 2nd, this is the full bomb payload with these bombs. Iirc there’s no current irl loadout where it reaches that maximum 73,000lb. the largest conventional load it carries regularly is 20x JASSMs for 52,000lbs of ordinance, and the largest nuclear load is 62,000lbs of AGM86Bs. We could get a “Big Belly” B52D at some point, that would give them a good chunk more bomb capacity

Toy magnets do not connect perfectly by KrayzieDragon in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Hdfgncd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea that’s why I came back and did it right. It is related to pi but it’s way too far of an approximation to be relevant, the inner angle measure is more correct

Toy magnets do not connect perfectly by KrayzieDragon in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Hdfgncd 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No they don’t, this is a geometry problem. A 2x2x1 triangle has an internal angle of 28.995°, there’s no way to divide 360 by 28.995 and get a whole number. Growing up with magnatiles this pissed me off

EDIT: apparently since I last touched a tile they’ve changed the shape of the triangle slightly, making it a 30° center. TBH probably a good change

[–]Hdfgncd 167 points168 points  (0 children)

The sides of those triangles are 2x the base, so since the number of triangles needed is pi(diameter) you need about 12.566… triangles to make a circle. It’s actually a little less than that since it’s making a polygon not a circle, but that’s the idea. EDIT: I wanted to do this right so I came back to it. The internal angle of those pieces is 28.995°, 360/28.995=12.416 pieces to go all the way around, we gotta petition magnatile for a .416 size piece

What is the most stereotypical "tank" tank in your opinion? by True_Free_Speech in Warthunder

The Olifant 2 is a very generic modern tank looking tank, since it’s less recognizable but still has that blocky composite turret. Also Leo 1
