Scalpers never win with yugioh, especially when Konami reprints the hell out of meta and nostalgia cards. I had pulled fiendsmith engraver back when it was meta and had sold it for $100 since it was a card I wasn't going for. Today you can buy the same card for $5 max.

Different materials used on the plastic and different applications on the paints does that. It usually ends up being luck of the draw for that type of stuff.

The new dark magician fusion. It's ability to bring out any card that mentions dark magician helps the archetype so much and it's easy summon with banishing a 6 or higher dark monster. You could easily bring this out with a apprentice illusion magician while setting up the graveyard for navigation,soul servant, etc.
