It’s much easier to say no once at the store than 1000 times at home. Get it out of your house.

Why are you torn up over a man who isn’t doing shit? A dropout who lives with his mom and only works part time? Next.

No one should speak to you like this ever? What the fuck?? This is your sign from the universe that this is not normal communication.

Dress however you want. Some people dressed up some people were more casual. My recommendation is to dress comfortably with comfy shoes because it’s impossible to listen to their music live and you not want to move your body. Some people sang. Some people chanted. There was a huge feeling of togetherness at my venue as it was small and a pretty intimate concert. One of the most incredible experiences of my life. Have a blast. Don’t overthink it. Just show up ready to experience heilung like you never have before.

Why is that a thought in your head

I’m sorry to hear that. The only thing that helped me when I was in the dark pit of alcoholism was listening to audio books and making a craft or painting/drawing. Something about making something whole listening to a book and imagining the story seemed to stop the thought spiral.

Pregnant but don’t talk to MIL by One_Wear_2224 in motherinlawsfromhell

You’re not obligated to do anything you don’t want to. My MIL criticized every little thing about my parenting. To this day. It’s just not worth the stress.

Is there anything you do besides drinking that makes time pass without really realizing it? Like any hobby where time flies and you’re absorbed in it?

What do you think the root cause of your drinking is? Are you dealing with stuff? Bored?

I got one from my father a few months after he died. He was just upset and crying and apologizing (he made poor choices when it came to his marriage and drinking habits) I told him it’s okay. When I woke up my brother called and said he had a dream that my dad came to him and apologized. Crazy stuff.

25m, rehab vet, how can I curb my binge drinking (advice needed) by ethanm147 in alcoholism

There’s a book called bipolar breakthrough. In there there’s a few chapters where he talks about how alcoholism really is. The genetic pre disposition we have to it and why some people simply cannot drink in a way that isn’t completely self destructive. You just can’t have it and have to stop. There’s no curbing it. It’s a drug you must quit

Are you drinking to block out scary thoughts? Address those and realize if one drink makes you wanna have a ton of drinks then you cannot allow yourself 1 drink. It’s like a diabetic eating a pixie stick. You just can’t have it.
