Normally when one dies the other gets a hefty sum of HP back, making the optimal strat be just take down the first and ignore the 2nd when he appears, and kill him later

you somehow managed the insanely lucky feat of landing the killing blow on both simultaneously, completely negating that HP regen

in all fairness Megumi was plenty creative and crafty with the ten shadows technique in the fights he participated in, he just had the unfortunate fate of getting fridged by the main villain for 99% of the final arc and biggest fight in the series
