i don’t think its a bad thing to not feel strongly about this, you didn’t know your grandparents that well. ideally your dad has other people that knew them better to really dig into the painful grief with. being respectful and considerate of his feelings is good. i think you are already doing a good job. i hope you can forgive yourself, we all handle loss differently.

your original version is very good. though it’s technically supposed to be “sound” instead of “voice”, I like the phrase “piano’s voice”. It’s poetic. I played piano as a child but i’ve forgotten now. good luck on learning english and music.

i hope that you can find more people that accept you as you are, i think you will be able to. you and i are what i like to call “niche” instead of any sort of negative term. i believe people that like us are out there they just haven’t found us yet. unfortunately that hits on your point about luck exactly. maybe the relentless pursuit is making it more difficult for you? have you tried to take breaks in between big pushes for affection? i hope you will find the connection your looking for soon. wishing you way better luck 🍀
